Cars have changed, the age of driving, has become the age of features, Nanomachines inside their designs, enhance and regulate their abilities. Engine control. Windshield control. Oil control. Driving control. Everything is monitored, and kept under control.

At first I thought you also somehow made this post rhyme and I was like wooooaahhh

but then I realized you just said 'control' several times.

Unlike a solid hunk of steel, nanotech material is made up of tiny, individual robots. Imagine legos, but much smaller, like skin cell small.
Now these legos are actually robots, so they can be programmed to move and such. Say you got a scratch. These robots could simply move around and reorganize themselves to remake the area where it was scratched.

I don't want to be a ********** but the police might ban the car from the market due to it's ability to change colors, therefore easily escaping pursuit.
User avatar #207 to #13 - Keidis (09/01/2013) [-]
Once these become common, the cars will PROBABLY have a homing chip put inside most of it's primary functions, and constantly turned on, thus making it impossible to escape the police.
User avatar #233 to #13 - samjamfan (09/01/2013) [-]
yeah. because police can change laws...

Yeah, because there would be a ******* of those cars on the streets right? I mean they are going to be cheap as hell...
User avatar #110 to #17 - akkere (09/01/2013) [-]
Well, maybe not "cheap as hell", but if mass production works out well enough, yeah, it might actually become more affordable.
The original cars were something only a millionaire could have until industry leaders like Ford took wind and were able to mass produce them.

That being said, it's likely the car's computer would be just as advanced enough that an officer could trace the car in real time and maybe even have their own trackers for it were it to be popular enough.
Or they could just look at the license plate.
User avatar #259 to #110 - kinginthenorth (09/01/2013) [-]
One of those tracers might be handy to find your car back in a busy parking lot.
User avatar #312 to #259 - akkere (09/01/2013) [-]
Definitely, especially if more cars start to look like this (which, could be quite possible if whoever actually comes out with this patents the designs on the functions and grips the market entirely)
#216 - urumasi (09/01/2013) [-]

The Real Audi A9

Don't get excited over concept cars because if they ever go into production they're almost nothing like the original renders
User avatar #67 to #32 - SuperSixONE (09/01/2013) [-]
Except that is also a concept render, and not even a real one. Audi had nothing to do with that pic, yours is fan made
User avatar #14 - leglesslegolegolas (08/31/2013) [-]
Too bad it'll probably cost a few million.
User avatar #20 to #14 - Midirr (08/31/2013) [-]
Basic, no options starts off at 100,000 euro (around $140,000 at the current exchange)

So no, not really a few million. Still expensive though.
User avatar #21 to #20 - kridane (08/31/2013) [-]
It will never be put into production.
And If it does it won't have any of the cool stuff.
User avatar #23 to #21 - Midirr (08/31/2013) [-]
