While that wold be easier, you cant own a switchblade in the U.S. (and probably not this either.)
User avatar #53 to #15 - heartlessrobot (08/30/2013) [-]
Nah, there's no laws against this. Yet.
User avatar #16 to #15 - angelodlt (08/30/2013) [-]
Then why can i go to walmart and buy a switch blade?
#17 to #16 - kyleharkness (08/30/2013) [-]
Either its not actually a switchblade or maybe its allowed in your area. What state you in?

California!

Meh, well i still can go to a nearby walmart and buy switch blades with blades longer than two inches, i own a three inch switch blade
#22 to #20 - kyleharkness (08/30/2013) [-]
then dont get caught with it is all
#55 to #20 - daemascus (08/30/2013) [-]
my understanding is that the distinction is whether is is spring propelled straight forward. Most "legal Switchblades" are pocket knives that get sprung out the side, might be wrong but hey none of us can be bothered to do much research right?
#21 to #8 - kyleharkness (08/30/2013) [-]
Meh, if you live in a small city, they dont care. otherwise, its illegal so just dont get caught xD
User avatar #23 to #21 - Grom (08/30/2013) [-]
in Illinois (or atleast where i live) the blade has to be smaller than your palm
User avatar #28 to #23 - timelordeternal (08/30/2013) [-]
Illinois doesn't have a blade length law, every cop I've asked about it just said to try to keep it under 4 inches, otherwise they get suspicious.

Am I the only one that feels there should be a few more steps between 1 and 2?
Like, we jump from "Okay, start with a very basic household item" to "Make a custom piece of equipment to hold a specific sort of knife to the first item."

Made me think of this

And then it accidentally goes off while your hand is bent forward and you slit your wrist (more like eviscerate (holy **** , I spelled eviscerate correctly on the first try)).
#26 to #24 - anon (08/30/2013) [-]
But to eviscerate something means that you rip its guts out. You can't eviscerate your wrist. Unless that where your intestines are.

I saw this once and spent hours trying to find it to no avail. Thank you my good sir.
User avatar #63 - sketchE ONLINE (08/30/2013) [-]
now if only it was double action. i made one that retracted and had a simple way to extend. to me thats the more important part. it should be controlled completely by the hand wearing it. not having to reach over with the other hand to pull it back up
