Is your point that they did an awful job to conceal his name? (In wich case i agree)
Or that you doubt that he's really the same dude because the names don't seem to match? LM could be one or more of his middle names.

The first one. As you can see, in the second copy of the comment, TheShortbusDriver moved his name from the faded gray letters to where his name would show on FB

ASIANS CAN ACTUALLY READ MINDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They can hear, and see what you're visually thinking. This is the absolute complete truth!!!!!

The reason a lot of Asians have completely expressionless faces is so they don't accidentally show facial expressions when people think things they don't like, find funny, astonishing, etc, and Asians segregate so they’re not nearly as susceptible to that happening.
Asians also segregate, and are untalkative to avoid accidentally saying things that are similar to what people are thinking and going to say.

Try thinking, and visually picturing things that are as wild as you can when you are around Asians, and look for Asians who give people dirty/particular looks for what appears to be for completely no reason.

PLEASE SPREAD THE MESSAGE!!!!! THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW THIS!!!!!

The fitness industry is such a joke. With a lot of the ******** broscience they spew out there or the misleading exaggerating **** that misinform people. It's no wonder why people often feel discouraged when it comes to working out.
User avatar #121 to #72 - delphine (08/29/2013) [-]
Yeah, no joke. I'm a woman who likes to stay healthy and active but many of my male friends, even my brother, have become what I would call "beeforexic", which is when they feel like their muscles are never big enough. One of my friends is on steroids to get bigger. Are bigger muscles really worth a shrinking willy?
User avatar #176 to #121 - waterbottlemanboy (08/29/2013) [-]
No, but a bigger willy is worth smaller muscles.

I've made those mistakes, as of many people who've tried getting into lifting or fitness in general. It takes months of rigorous research to know what you're doing, you have to weigh out each contradicting statement to see which one is most suited to you. There's often a lot of misconceptions in regards to nutrition and so much more. To be honest, I wouldn't of known **** at all if it wasn't for that someone who introduced me to /fit/ which had that sticky, which covered a lot of the basics in detail and was legit.

yes, im not going to lie and say im mr. perfect and i didnt fall for the same. its just people arent patient and want to look like jeff seif, zyzz, lazar agolov, and the list goes on in 2 months or less. so people like sells men get you like that, cause they make it sound so easy, when in reality it takes 1 to 2 years to gain that muscle
User avatar #133 to #89 - studbeefpile (08/29/2013) [-]
1-2 years? Try 5 to 10 years -naturally anyway- (depending on genetics as well). As someone who has been lifting for about 3 years now I can honestly tell you it takes a lot longer than that, which contributes to your point being that no one has the patience for it.

People have a general tendency to be lazy bastards. It's kinda unfortunate.

I one time asked on a Facebook page some advice about how to develop good effective abs and then my friend kept trying to recommend me Chang's six-pack shortcuts. Why do people think there are such things as shortcuts and easy way outs? I'm aware that it'll take a long time but I want to make substantial progress at least. I wish women in general had the same motivational drive, mental fortitude and the actual knowledge to workout effectively intstead of whining on tumblr about the so called oppressive standards of ideal beauty.

tbh when i entered my gym, i wanted to be skinny so my abs would show, but all i did was cardio and saw no results. the key is to build muscle and lose your body % to at least 8%

im 10.3% and i could barely see my abs, but i wasnt really focusing on them anymore like when i started. people ask me how to get abs like mine. i just say eat clean and they just come out

A lot of it has to do with the actual amount of muscle mass you have in your abdominal region. There are plenty of people who are tiny as **** but you can see their abs just because of how thin they are, and then there are other people who have so much muscle mass to the point they their abs show even if they have 10-13% bf.

Honestly I think being below 8% bf is silly and unhealthy, and lets be honest, abs on a skinny dude are pretty much the same as big tits on a fat chick. The people who (in my opinion) look the best are generally the people with a lot of muscle mass, and a healthy amount of body fat, a prime example being Elliott Hulse (dude in the picture). Most women I've talked to feel the same way, in that really shredded vascular bodybuilders aren't very attractive.

Anyway, that's my take on it, that's my opinion. You can go and do whatever the **** you wanna do.
#213 to #212 - saltybanana (08/30/2013) [-]
i like elliot hulse aka strength project. youre right in a way, i was going towards that goal to look atheistic cause thats what most women like on guys body, but the more i went to the gym. i wasnt feeling that goal anymore. iwanted to look like the hodegtwins more, cause there lean and big and they looked good too. cause ive been goin for 5mnth now and people say i got skinny instead of buffer.

*Strengthcamp

And yeah, I know what you mean. But in a somewhat recent video the Hodgetwins said that they're never cutting to 4% again, and that it was the stupidest thing they'd ever done.

My experience with fitness is as follows -perhaps my story can benefit you.

About 3 years ago in August I was 14, and weighed 250lbs, with a max bench press of 135 (I've always been naturally inclined towards strength) and that's when I started getting into lifting. I put a decent amount of work into weightlifting and got my max bench up to 165 by the beginning of January, and was deadlifting about 225, I wasn't super strong, but it was something. In February of that same year I decided to start dieting, and by July I had lost 50lbs (I weighed 200), and by my 16th birthday in September I was benching 200, and deadlifting 315, but I was still kinda chubby. Regardless, I decided I wanted to enter the "1000lb club" -Bench, Squat, and Dead totaling 1000 or more- as quickly as I could, so I started a dirty bulk, and by April of this passing year I achieved this goal with a 215 bench, 385 squat, and 405 deadlift, but I weighed 235. Starting in May I started dieting again with the retention of my strength in mind (most of the time people cut they lose strength, but I didn't want to do that), so I took a smarter approach, and now I weigh 205 (at 6ft tall) with a max Bench of 235, Squat 405, and Deadlift 405. I've still got some weight to lose, but because of my muscular foundation I look more 'buff'.

Ultimately the point is that -in my opinion- having a strong foundation of muscle should be the first priority, then weightloss, so when you lose the weight, you don't have that awkward 'skinny-fat' look.
User avatar #215 to #214 - saltybanana (09/01/2013) [-]
yes i know that feel of the skinny fat look, it gives people that feel that your just a noob in the gym, but in reality you do lift. cutting to me is the most hardest **** in the world when you got
1. fat over weight friends who always eat late and dont watch theyre macroes

2. a girlfriend with a faster metabolism than you

3. parents who just buy junkfood for a living

4. and no one to help you cut

i suck in general to cut, so i tried IF and it really worked!! i swear i looked lean as a ********* ! but then i got confused into this to much carbs, sodium, fats, and etc get you fat, so im lost and confused at this point till today
User avatar #216 to #215 - studbeefpile (09/01/2013) [-]
Sounds to me like we have similar genetic structures. Are you also naturally inclined towards strength (what are your current lifts?)

If we are similar, I can offer some insight, because I also have a relatively slow metabolism, which makes muscle building easy, but fat gain quick as well.

What I've found to work for me, is eating a giant hearty meal in the morning -for me it's typically a pound of beef, with some cheese, and bread (basically a giant cheese burger, but it's organic meat, not fast food), then I work out about 2 hours after I've eaten that, and wait about 2 more hours before a small meal which is usually just double serving of Whey Protein with milk. After that I don't eat for the rest of the day. That combined with powerlifting 6 days a week, and drinking a ******* of water, (seriously, you have to drink a ridiculous amount of water to maximize weightloss) If I do that weight just melts right off of me, that's how I lost 10lbs in the past 2 weeks.
#217 to #216 - saltybanana (09/01/2013) [-]
my bench press is 150 i dont know how to dead lift properly so i stay away from that till i know how to lift with better form

i curl 30 dumbell, and curl 60 on barebell

let me give you my insight on how i eat and train( btw i love water so drink that constantly)

wake up around 8.am make me 8 egg whites with a peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat, work out for about 2hours(i really don't like making conversations at the gym, im real serious on my gainz, so i workout fast) come home eat a cup of greek yogurt with whey protein mixed in it, wait till 5 and make either chicken fajtas or steak(depends what day) a practically thats what i eat(they're bigg meals so i dont have to always be eatting, cause i work) but i hate it cause i have alot of titty fat left over and a small gut which i have the biggest problem with. what could you recommend me for that?
User avatar #218 to #217 - studbeefpile (09/01/2013) [-]
Some of that's going to be loose skin, which will go away on it's own over time. On top of that, keep bench pressing, you might wanna add chest flies into your routine if they're not already in it, basically try to develop you chest muscles enough so they outweigh the remaining fat, really focus on hypertrophy.

As far as diet goes it sounds like you're doing a decent job, although I noticed you said you cook up 'egg whites', dude, don't be afraid of the yolk, that's where all the protein and good stuff is at, I would recommend having about 3 whole eggs instead. Also, don't be afraid of 'fats' in foods, I lost 50lbs eating nothing but fatty beef and cheese, and I continue to lose weight with a similar diet. Dietary fats are not your enemy, an over abundance of dirty carbs is your enemy. I would try lowering your carbs a bit, and substituting what you do eat for clean carbs like brown rice, or potatoes.

Lastly, learn how to properly dead lift and squat. Heavy compound movements are the best thing you can do for weightloss. Once you've developed decent form on those lifts start working them in powerlifting parameters: 3-5 rep range with between 3 and 6 sets. Basically, heavy as **** . Continue to focus on building your chest muscles, but for your legs and back just focus on strength training (for now)

Please let me know if you have any further questions and I will do my best to share some insight.

Gotta get those Gorilla Tits!.

Yeah, I know what you mean. A lot of it is just over thinking it. I honestly don't, and never have counted my macros, I just work hard and eat clean, and I've had great success with weight loss.

So how old are you, and how long have you been lifting?

Age and experience have a lot to do with what you can/cant/should/shouldn't do.
User avatar #221 to #220 - saltybanana (09/01/2013) [-]
hahaha damn man i need them gorilla tits!!

20yrs old been lifting for about 6months so im still a noob in a way
ive been boxing with my old man since i was 8 so i have a wiiiiiide back and great legs and good cardio, so im more on the skinny fat since i stopped for college and work, but gone into bodybuilding since my school has free gym
User avatar #154 to #92 - billydabob (08/29/2013) [-]
I get what you're saying but Chang himself said it's not an actual shortcut cheat-wise but shortcuts as in the most effective exercises

But yeah, all these factors come together to dissuade the masses from working out or giving them the wrong image and whatnot

keep on lifting bro

Yea it's sad but he's probably not going to win that case... And here's why:

If he posted that picture on facebook, which he most likely did, he agreed to the facebook terms and conditions upon submission to hand over the rights to the pho And yes, every photo you put on your profile does not belong to you anymore.

A similar case like this happened when a family put a family photo of themselves on facebook at a resort, which the resort later used as the cover photo of their site. Feeling used and offended like this guy, they filed suit and lost because they agreed to the terms of conditions upon their submission.

What facebook will do with your photos is sell them to companies for top dollar, ones that are candid photos that unintentionally promote the business. Businesses will pay to use the photo, facebook cashes in a hefty check, all while you don't make a dime off the photo that you probably didn't know you were giving up.

It's sad, but there's nothing this guy can do. Another sad case of being exploited by the system.
User avatar #148 to #106 - akkere (08/29/2013) [-]
But that's only if he posted it to Facebook and if Facebook sold the photo to the company, otherwise he's still in the game. If he posted it to Facebook, then more likely than not he'd probably link them to the Facebook album of which that had it, as that's more convenient.

So the likelihood of him being in that situation is reduced.
The only question is if Flickr sold or leased the photo's rights to the company, which isn't that much likely either.
User avatar #108 to #106 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
Their is a case for falsely advertising.
User avatar #109 to #108 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
That would have to be filed by someone who used their product, and it didn't work, being misled by this specific image. The nerd-guy can't sue for false-advertising if he didn't try their product.
User avatar #110 to #109 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
I mean he could win the case for falsely claiming that he used their product and got ripped because of it. It one would be one thing of if used it, but since he didn't he has a good case against the company.
User avatar #111 to #110 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
So you're saying he should lie? Doesn't sound like good grounds for a case, buddy.
User avatar #112 to #111 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
Who said anything about lying?
User avatar #114 to #112 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
Misread your comment sorry, your English is pretty broken, no offense.

He still doesn't have a case. The company could easily claim, "Well, we've seen results that worked almost as dramatically as the before and after pictures we used."

Without any witnesses that could testify against this, which I'm sure it would be super hard for him to find, let alone have to pay for that person to testify in court, it would simply be innocent until proven guilty.

Law's a bitch, my friend.
User avatar #115 to #114 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
However, costumer logs could prove that he never order that product. There would be no need for a witness. All his lawyer would have to do ask for a realease of records(which is leagal, incase you're wondering) and show that his client hadnever order their product. As long he is not past the statue of limitations for this sort of thing it would be a strong case.
User avatar #116 to #115 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
Doesn't matter. The company never outright on that post said, "ERMAGERD LOOK AT HOW MUCH WEIGHT THAT MAN LOST AND HOW JACKED HE GOT!!!"

Since they never openly said that these two photos are of the same guy, all that the company would have to do is exploit an obvious loophole.

Still no win for our nerd friend
User avatar #119 to #116 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
Using his photo in a before and after shot says that by itself. Plus, I never said he would win, I said he would have a strong case. More than likely though, you would be wrong because people have over less trival things.
User avatar #122 to #119 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
Nope. Advertising companies get away with that misleading-loophole crap all the time.

A more legendary one would be by the Shamwow-guy who claimed his crappy towel could do it all. Throughout the commercial he would say crap like, "Look what THIS THING could do." He never outright says, "Look what THIS SHAMWOW can do." He used a different product in the commercial but never admitted to it in the same commercial.

www.funnyjunk.com/funny_pictures/987341/How/ <-- A post made by an old FJ friend of mine that goes into depth about this deception.

I've only taken very basic law courses and I'm able to see these obvious loopholes. I'm sure the company can afford a top dollar lawyer that would make sound a lot prettier than I can to you.
User avatar #128 to #122 - bronyjdos (08/29/2013) [-]
(Sorry it took so long to respond, FJ didn't alert me to a response for some reason.) I bet a lawyer would make this sound prettier than me, especially a top notch lawyer. But no matter a fancy he made it sound, if the opposing lawyer was equally as good. Since this would be a cival case it would be who could convince a judge, who nows all about fancy lawyer talk, the most.

Now, I have to sleep now because I have classes early in the morning, so i bid you farwell. But before i go, chances are he never took this court on the grounds he looks like a 'stay at home and do nothing but jack-off to twelve year old anime girls' nerd. Upon this realization, I feel completely moronic for even arguing this for the better part of an hour.
User avatar #132 to #128 - ZeDoodler (08/29/2013) [-]
Hahahahaha that's a fairly good point, I just like to get into good discussions so I don't mind xD

On my parting note, the following typically make for a good case:

1: The man was harmed, either physically or mentally
He was probably a little miffed, but most likely not psychologically damaged.

2: He was financially scrutinized out of making potential money for his product.
Since he gave over the rights to the photo to facebook, he wasn't scrutinized out of anything, as said earlier

3: The company has a LOT of money to make something that is relatively petty, worth it.
Seeing as the post only got a couple thousand likes in a couple days, which is probably around their max for that page, they are probably not a huge corporation. So even if he did win the case, the nerd-guy would have to waste a ******** of money on lawyers, testimony, and evidence to back his case up. In the end, he would probably come out at a loss and every party involved would just be worse off because of it. Something I'm sure his lawyer would tell him.

Maybe he has a case, maybe he doesn't, but it's more than likely not worth it because he will most likely lose or just waste a ton of money in the process.

But you're right, he probably is just going to sit at home waxing the pole to japanese school girls getting raped by an octopus.

I'm pretty sure Facebook policy mentions that if you put it on Facebook, they can technically sell it to advertisers to use without your consent.

I wonder if he realised the terms and conditions of facebook pretty much make every picture you put up usable by anyone

It wasn't put up on Facebook, it was put up on flickr which is an external media and so not within those legal bounds.

what about flickrs terms of use?

Any form of media published on the internet is the legal property of the creator, whether it's put up on Facebook or Flickr. Using those images without consent can get you in legal trouble, especially if it is to sell a product.

This is true, except for the fact that Facebook's terms and conditions relieve you of your legal right, therefore making your photos, videos, ect. useable by anyone who wants them. (Facebook will most likely sell candid photos and such to companies for big bucks)

I'm pretty sure that sounds completely illegal

They'll just give him a swirley and take his lunch money until he lets them use his picture

I can't see his whole body but I think I see enough to know it will be too much work to give that guy a swirly.
