I'm in Europe and it is hard as **** to get a job here right now. And there they pay for useless work or nothing? Where do I apply for this?

that doesn't really seem like a punishment to me though... like... "here, you don't have to do anything, and we'll give you free money! just stay in this room for a little while each day"

that's what i do everyday without getting paid

I suppose, but it still kinda sucks because you know that the company doesn't want you, and doesn't even care enough about you to give you benefits. That they'd go out of their way just to avoid that...

for many people its a serious cause to get depressed...
having nothing to do and be completely useless usually bugs the selfconsciousness.
if this goes on for month or years one can feel very bad...

I'd so not give even a slight ****. so long as I'm getting by, and I'm pretty much getting paid to sit on my ass? I'd start working out or something to kill time.

then you'd get fired again for not doing your job.

there was an experiment with a university paying people a lot of money (i think up to 50$/hour) for sitting on a chair and doing nothing. almost noone was able to do it for a longer period or repeatedly...
i wonder about it myself for i'd think of it as beeing a nice way to make money and meditate or learn or what do i know... but its often said people cant stand such situations.

Well, with teh way it was worded, they don't want to fire you, because it benefits you to be fired over quitting. So.....Yeah.

there's a difference between getting fired for no reasons and because "you didnt do the job you were told to do but did other things like surfing certain sites" and so on
