>Have ****** job because you didn't pay attention in school
>Then come onto Funnyjunk to complain about how the boss needs to help

Or

>Have good job because you DID pay attention in school
>Realize its you thats sitting in that desk

It's all capitalism, only the best make it. And if you don't try to be the best you can, then you have no room to complain.

Yes, because paying attention in school is the only factor between you and success. Not where you live, how you look, your age, gender, personality, wealth, school you went to, opportunities you had in high school, and career. That's just silly.

In all honesty, where I live, the only factor determining whether or not you have a good job is how well you do in school, and even then.

There is such a high demand in engineers that the ones whom do need engineers will hire the first one they see. (Again, this is the case where I live, at any rate.)

Oh, not only that but if you're really good you can compete in the entrance exams for a military academy (study for officer and so forth). So yes, essentially, all it boils down to is how well you do in school and in the academies.

Looks? Age? Gender? Seriously?

I was speaking in a VERY broad example so maybe some of you idiots might understand it.

Of course there are factors in things like wealth and opportunities, but if it takes being the valedictorian of your school to get into a fantastic college, so be it.

The US is a very competitive place, and like I said earlier, it's called capitalism, only the best make it. It benefits those who try, and punishes those who don't.

You'll learn about it in high school

Yeah. I went to Troy High School. We're #3 in STEM in the country. I graduated their tech program with full IB. I know about competition. I also know that trying hard doesn't always get you to where you want to be. You seem to doubt that appearance, gender, and age effect what job you can get. That's cute. Do some research, "trololoface".

Reminds me of that quote, "A manager is somebody who does things right. A leader is someone who does the right thing."
