My girlfriend and I have been dating now for two years, and I would openly admit to anyone that she is my first true love.

I believe love is a lot like whats described in the content, but a 100 times more powerful. Im more comfortable around her than any of my closest friends, shes my bestfriend, shes a rock that I can lean on, she absolutely completes me. I still feel those deep seated butterflies in my stomach when she enters the room, and I hope that never goes away.

We still do spontaneous things, we still have fun, and we love each other very much. I trust her with all my heart, and I know she trusts me, and not just on the things that come to mind when you hear trust and relationship in the same sentence. I also include that I would trust her with my life.

We both have parents (in my case just my mum) who adore us both equally. her Dad is forever inviting me round for dinners, barbecues, and family trips. My Mum and her spend more time together than I actually spend with my own Mum.

Shes the absolute best thin that ever happened to me, and she stuck with me through the good, and the bad, including the sudden death of my best mate.

TL;DR Once you find that person that makes the pain your hearts in worth it, stick with them, because you'll never feel as complete as you do when they enter the room. Stay Beautiful you Wonderful Bastards.

Fiance just canceled our wedding and your post made me cry.

Totally thought that we had what you described, but I guess we didn't.

Don't worry, mate. Love can be hard, but be glad this happened to you. You now know that the feelings weren't equal, you don't have to go trough a divorce, you have a new chance at finding the one and you're still hella young. Hell, for all you know the next person you get together with might even give you stronger feelings than what you've had for her! I've been where you were, for three years I stuck to someone who cheated on me twice and the first time she didn't tell me before half a year had passed. I loved her with all my heart, hell, I still miss her a year later. (Perhaps because she's my fap material now, so it might only be sexual for all I know.) But I realise that someone that can do something like that to you isn't the one for you, all it took was a month of not being close to her, hard, but it opened my eyes. So matey, take it easy, get over her and go on. You've got it all going for you. Hope you're more lucky than me next time.

Been there, felt that. My first girlfriend cheated on me twice. We got along great and then in the end it's just like she didn't care at all as if everything was just my imagination. Much of my life I've spent by myself, you could say, so I say **** it. I graduate high school in under a year and I'm joining the military when I get out.

TL;DR? **** everybody, everyone screws you over in the end anyways.
