Maybe the message wasn't meant as much for them as it was for us

You wouldn't give a **** if some hipster or historic figure said this, some cartoon character said this and you piss yourselves and cream your underwear.

You're all ******* stupid

He is just saying that if Obama, or Romney or someone else said it, noone would bat an idea. However, since the nostalgia factor are so high with Pokemon (and Dragonballs for that mattter) everyone drop their panties instantly and call it the best thing ever.

Actually, I think most people credit the writers. While yes, there is a nostalgia factor, it's not the only thing. The fact that a person writing for a childrens cartoon said this is pretty amazing, because it does teach a moral that few people now have. And lets be honest, romney isn't smart enough or socially experienced enough to say this, and Obama would call it a race charge.

> Most people credit the writers

Huge. *******. ********.
I can even bet 70% if these fans don't knows who the writer is.

Also, who are you judging Romney and Obama for not saying 'smart' quotes like this scripted fictional character?

I see your point, but does it make the quote any less valid?

i've thought about the exact same thing you've said before, first when i saw a post with a quote with some famous celebrity or something but then it was revealed Hitler said the quote and i thought "well... maybe i should more focus on the wisdom of the words rather than who said them, and then take those words and put them in the context of my life, not someone elses"

Everyone always seems to forget that meowth said some philosophical **** as well. "You mean we don't have to fight each other? But how can I trust you m you were born different?" "I almost made a clawful mistake. But how do I know you're not going to pull a day one on me?" "Huh? You're right. We do have a lot in common. The same earth, the same air, the same sky." "Maybe if we start looking at what's the same, instead of always looking at what's different..... Well who knows?"

This part always stuck with me. The message this movie sends is one of the many reasons it's one of my favorites.
