A friend of mine was always bragging about how he was going to get to kill "Sand ******* " out of an AC130 and that hes so excited to kill people. It was frankly one of the most disturbing things anyone can be excited for. The fact he'd bring it up always was the worst part, in class, at lunch, in front of his parents guests, and I dont think bootcamp, where he is now, will help much.

Ive also seen some pretty blatant examples of some buddies of mine who joined the marines being brainwashed. One friend decided to join after only 3 hrs when a recruiter came to his home, was iffy about it for a while, and a week later calling everyone pussies for not being part of it. The military also has a serious issue about not addressing your chances of dying when recruiting

Jack Reacher:

There are four types of people who join the military. For some, it's family trade. Others are patriots, eager to serve. Next you have those who just need a job. Than there's the kind who want the legal means of killing other people.
