Well, this explains something.

I think I missed out on the "neat
and cute handwriting" gene that
every girl seems to have and this
is unfair
intelligent people have messier
handwriting because they think fast.
When you think and process things
faster, you can also write quicker, but
it' s going to be sloppy. People with
neat writing are usually (no offense)
not as smart. I embrace my ****
writing.

My dad watches this show. Some episodes are pretty good. From what I've heard from him there is supposed to be an episode where he is Lee Harvey Oswald. He said that was the best one hes seen.

Actually they have crappy handwritting because they have to write a **** ton of perscriptions each day. Parents are doctors, that was what they told me

just what I needed, an excuse for writing like a 3 year old, cause nothing is ever caused by not practicing, and that's how I like it.

i need a source to believe this...
#68 to #59 - acerose (08/17/2013) [-]
You need a source to believe that smart people think faster?

Or that people who can think faster can write faster?

Or that writing quickly is always messier than writing slowly and carefully?
Which of these obviously true things do you need a source for?
#103 to #68 - EnemySpy (08/17/2013) [-]
If we accepted facts so simply without question, we'd still believe that everything materializes from the five basic elements of existance (fire, earth, water, air and aethar) like the Greek philosophers once did.

Source: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_element
#155 to #103 - acerose (08/17/2013) [-]
Firstly, you can't act all high and mighty about sourcing and then cite Wikipedia.

Secondly, not evaluating facts and coming to a conclusion yourself is complete idiocy.

Thirdly, if you disagree with any of the three things that make up the conclusion that OP came to, let me know and I'll call you an idiot again.
#209 to #155 - EnemySpy (08/17/2013) [-]
Alright, I was being lazy with the source. Want a real reference?

G. E. R. Lloyd (1968). Aristotle: The Growth and Structure of his Thought. Cambridge Univ. Pr. pp. 133–139

Yes, that was taken from the reference section on Wikipedia. Got a problem with it? Go buy the book and read for yourself.

To what conclusion do you refer to? That blindly accepting theories from an anonymous tumblr post is stupid? What facts am I overlooking there that so say that it's a good idea?

And by the way numbering your sentences doesn't make you sound any more sophisticated. Let me simplify your last statement.

"Disagree with me and I'll call you an idiot."
Oooo...

So do you think smarter people aren't capable of thinking as quickly as less intelligent people?
#249 to #155 - Rascal (08/17/2013) [-]
hehe. The red thumbs means you're an idiot and he's right.

Btw, the fellah was asking for a source of some sort that would indicate that people woh are more intelligent tend to write sloppier. Thinking quickly does not equal sloppy hand writing. A lot of intelligent men and women have great handwriting and do not write like a second grader.
#13 - reminisce (08/17/2013) [-]
I call ******** . I've known ridiculously smart people with clear handwriting and a **** ton of dumbasses with sloppy handwriting. I get the logic behind this, but no.
#214 to #13 - Rascal (08/17/2013) [-]
I've always been able to write faster than classmates, and my writing always looks about twice as good..
i have to physically try to write as messy as some people do, i really can't relate to that problem
User avatar #14 to #13 - deerdevil (08/17/2013) [-]
This is a broad generalization. I know smart people with good handwriting too.

Also, there's a difference between people who are considered smart because they study 6 hours a day, and people who are just smart all round.
User avatar #73 - diablojoe (08/17/2013) [-]
So people who practice calligraphy are retarded then?
User avatar #97 to #73 - kikisu ONLINE (08/17/2013) [-]
That's an art form just as much as it is handwriting. It's not hard once you get into it, but it can be a bit challenging at times.

Is it just me, or Fast Thinking and Inteligence are 2 different things?

Like gamers can make decisions 6 times (or so) faster then non gamers. Does that makes all gamers genius?
User avatar #37 to #36 - deerdevil (08/17/2013) [-]
Not necessarily. I mean if you kick a football 1000 times a day, you're going to get pretty good at it I would assume.
#38 to #37 - winterguy (08/17/2013) [-]
Yeah, but I was trying to do point about fast thinking and inteligence not being the same thing. That was just an exapmle.

And training can be applied to anything.. If you try to write fast and nice every day for 3 hours, youll get good, no matter if "street smart" or "Sc.D. smart".
User avatar #40 to #38 - deerdevil (08/17/2013) [-]
Use Dr. Who as an example. He's smart and he thinks quickly. I think they're one in the same. Mainly, your brain needs to be able to quickly make connections (Dr. Who again) and the more intelligent you are the quicker you think. I did my first aid course recently, there was people in it who were horribly slow thinkers, and magically, they were pretty dense too.
I think everyone is different, and I'm sure there are exceptions to what I said above.

Neatness depends on a lot of factors; it's not an absolute sign of intelligence- or lack thereof.

Start your sentences with a capital letter, please, or refrain from ending your statement with a period.
