Or, you can stop being a lazy **** and slow down purposefully and stop making excuses for your sorry-ass handwriting. It's only acceptable to write messy on notes or essays!

Or, (stay with me here, I know your attention span is pretty short) who the **** cares if your handwriting is neat? I've never given a **** about what my letters look like.

For all the retards who think that having a **** handwriting makes them smart, take a look at the numberphile channel on youtube, all the mathematical geniuses there write perfectly readable

You've obviously never had a solid thought in your life. When your brain has already thought the next 20 words in a row before you can even get to them you'll understand how hard it is to have neat handwriting.

I think i acquired my slobby handwriting (and the signature i still use to this day) from all the english handouts i got in earlier classes. As a dane who spend much free time on the internet, i learned english way quicker, and as such, having to fill out easy as **** papers made me so lazy and bothered that i wrote quite messily..
And since we're all used to writing on laptops, i go impatient when having to write in real life since it goes so much slower

I can tell English isn't your first language. I assume in whatever language you were grown up with, the same rule would apply.

Yep. But English is the language of the internet. One is more likely to be absorbed into the english internet, to the point where you're at least a grade ahead of everyone else in your class. And after i started to live in my laptop, it's now my first language. The language i love, think, write, hear and talk. This is just casual english. Capitalizing english and i and apostrophes cant be arsed

The man gave you a good advice, sure, he was rude, but this is funnyjunk. And instead of listening to it or ignoring it you chose to insult him and didn't miss the boasting opportunity. If you are so smart you should know that most of these "facts" like this post are complete and utter ******** and if you think you are smarter just because you write ugly, than you, my friend, are very delusional. And by the number of likes you got I see that most of these basement dwellers who roam fj and happen to write ugly are always willing to hold to that last straw telling them they are "intelligent"

In short, it's never nice too see people boasting about their intelligence.

The thing is, correcting your handwriting is very hard and takes a long time when you got used to write a certain way. And if you think about it, it's really not that useful, most of our writing is done on a keyboard these days.
But yeah, this "fact" is ********. People don't write faster because they think faster, they write faster because they practiced it more and it became an automatism, just like how people who spend 14 hours a day in front of a computer type faster than people who barely touch a keyboard, no matter how smart they are. And your handwriting is not that different, no matter how fast or slow you are writing. Actually most people I know with a neat handwriting also write faster.

This is a broad generalization. I know smart people with good handwriting too.

Also, there's a difference between people who are considered smart because they study 6 hours a day, and people who are just smart all round.

You need a source to believe that smart people think faster?

Or that people who can think faster can write faster?

Or that writing quickly is always messier than writing slowly and carefully?
Which of these obviously true things do you need a source for?

If we accepted facts so simply without question, we'd still believe that everything materializes from the five basic elements of existance (fire, earth, water, air and aethar) like the Greek philosophers once did.

Firstly, you can't act all high and mighty about sourcing and then cite Wikipedia.

Secondly, not evaluating facts and coming to a conclusion yourself is complete idiocy.

Thirdly, if you disagree with any of the three things that make up the conclusion that OP came to, let me know and I'll call you an idiot again.

Alright, I was being lazy with the source. Want a real reference?

G. E. R. Lloyd (1968). Aristotle: The Growth and Structure of his Thought. Cambridge Univ. Pr. pp. 133–139

Yes, that was taken from the reference section on Wikipedia. Got a problem with it? Go buy the book and read for yourself.

To what conclusion do you refer to? That blindly accepting theories from an anonymous tumblr post is stupid? What facts am I overlooking there that so say that it's a good idea?

And by the way numbering your sentences doesn't make you sound any more sophisticated. Let me simplify your last statement.

"Disagree with me and I'll call you an idiot."
Oooo...

hehe. The red thumbs means you're an idiot and he's right.

Btw, the fellah was asking for a source of some sort that would indicate that people woh are more intelligent tend to write sloppier. Thinking quickly does not equal sloppy hand writing. A lot of intelligent men and women have great handwriting and do not write like a second grader.

That's an art form just as much as it is handwriting. It's not hard once you get into it, but it can be a bit challenging at times.

just what I needed, an excuse for writing like a 3 year old, cause nothing is ever caused by not practicing, and that's how I like it.
