Can't wait for assassins creed 5 desmonds story, where you can jump from the top of skyscrapers, aslong as you land on a hot dog stand.
#25 to #20 - anon (08/15/2013) [-]
Well apparently someone doesn't know that Desmond is dead...
User avatar #35 to #25 - jumytime (08/15/2013) [-]
I don't think he's dead. Edward is Haytham's father, thus Connor's grandfather. Connor is Desmonds ancestor. How exactly would they continue with Connor's grandfather if Desmond wasn't in the Animus? Who would be doing the memories?
#38 to #35 - anon (08/15/2013) [-]
Actually you'll be working for abstergo.
You're one of connor's grand daddy's descendant, working as a beta tester for a new version of the animus that's been made public.

They're looking for another fruit and you just happen to be there to help, lucky huh?

Also if you're still in doubt, remember subject 16. He is another descendant, and there are tons to come.
User avatar #39 to #38 - jumytime (08/15/2013) [-]
Forgot about 16. The whole descendant thing. But really? Working for Abstergo? Well, I guess it kind of makes sense cause they made you play as a templar before. Haytham.
User avatar #40 to #39 - KabulMan (08/15/2013) [-]
Also at the end of AC3 you find out that abstergo found out how to access an ancestor's memories without a descendant. which is why you get to keep playing as connor after the credits, after the ending you play as an abstergo employee
User avatar #41 to #40 - jumytime (08/15/2013) [-]
Neato. Thanks for the info.

That pile of hay isnt big enough...

But there have been people who have fallen from planes, landed on massive hay bales and survived.

Horribley injured, but suvived
User avatar #29 to #8 - steedawwg **User deleted account** (08/15/2013) [-]
The real question how did they fall out of the plane?
User avatar #34 to #29 - gytisout ONLINE (08/15/2013) [-]
Without a parachute.
User avatar #9 to #8 - elyiia (08/15/2013) [-]
If I remember correctly, a woman survived a fall from a plane with only a few broken bones.

the gameplay? it's the same as the last 3 games, which were the same as the first game
the story was kind of annoying
besides, the game is so easy it feels like an interactive movie, I'd like some challenge, I'd like to fail once or twice before I complete the mission
#62 to #31 - mcmg (08/15/2013) [-]
The **** it was.

>The gameplay? It's the same as the last 3 games, which were the same as the first game.

******** . In the first game, the fighting was **** . You had to wait forever and ever for one of the guards to attack you, and it was just **** overall. In AC2, they introduced several badass counters, and better guards. In AC:B, they introduced killstreaks, and combos that were absolutely badass, and a lot less glitchy. I'll give you that AC:R didn't have any real changes. AC3, the changed the gameplay a lot. They had a different engine to build the game one, added in hunting skills, and Connor ran differently than Ezio. Connor climbed trees and rocks, and used guns and a bow and arrow, as well as having a rope dart, smoke bombs, and bait for various animals. A ******* Naval Combat. I don't remember that in the previous games.

>The story was kind of annoying.

Ever taken an American History class. That's kind of a given. There wasn't much they could do to get the assassinations of main story arch character to line up with the actual time and location of their deaths. That they were able to remain as accurate with that as they did is incredible. But, you've got me there, no real argument against it.

>Besides, the game is so easy it feels like and interactive movie

******** . Anyone who goes and plays only the main story arch of a sandbox style game without playing the side mission is going to end up thinking everything is easy. I don't even think it was easy. Hell, if you tried to get the 100% synchronization, it was hard as hell to do. If you just played the mission to play it, without trying to do the limitations, then they were all pretty easy. You try not pushing people as you chase Thomas Hickey through New York, as the limitation states. **** that mission.

Basically, it seems to me as though you've never even played the games, just watched people play through it on YouTube.

Gameplay the same as the last 3 games? Are you retarded?
Easy game? Like the guy before me said, it's hard as hell to get full synchronization, and some of the missions were pretty damn tough, like the one where you have to chase those three messengers on horseback

You're not alone, i also thought it was a great game altough Connor's Character could've been better, but in terms of gameplay and missions I absolutely loved the game. Finished it but I'm still playing it from time to time, even if the only thing I can do is hunting and getting money (and bitches(

i second this

You know what really grinds my gears?
When people say they don't buy AC because it is unrealistic, then proceed to play ****** FPS games where you aimlessly kill other players for no apparent reason.
#122 to #5 - amonomous (08/15/2013) [-]
Why do people look for realism in a video game...?
#127 to #5 - anon (08/15/2013) [-]
"where you aimlessly kill other players for no apparent reason. "
"unrealistic"
Also, Assassin's Creed likewise has a multiplayer mode.

I'm going to buy Assassin's Creed for the multiplayer mode.

What I've found with "realistic" games, particularly ones played by my friends is that they long and plead for more realism, but when they get it, it's "too realistic". Like "Oh **** they can shoot for through walls now!? How is that even possible!?" Games are games, they're not to be whined about after paying $50+ for the pleasure. Just a bit of good old fun.
#60 - pedocommando (08/15/2013) [-]
So between the 2nd and 3rd picture it took him 20 years to jump?
Seems legit.

>Implying that the 3rd picture is from ACR, 20 years later from the second game; assuming that Ezio got Altiair's armor at the end of AC2.

500 foot fall + hay pile = completely safe!
User avatar #61 to #49 - PadreRasta (08/15/2013) [-]
500 feet* is about equivalent to a 35 levels building. The watchtowers in AC3 are about 10 floors high.

Still, it would be deadly from the first floor of any building.
User avatar #66 to #61 - peejay (08/15/2013) [-]
what's with the star? his grammar is corrrect
User avatar #143 to #66 - PadreRasta (08/16/2013) [-]
Ah. I could swear the plural of foot is feet.. English is not my native language.
