Why the hell is schoolgirl censored. I had to log in to see that.
User avatar #33 to #30 - dogwars (08/11/2013) [-]
Because it implies porn.
When do you ever see the words "schoolgirl" without it leading to either the phrase "giggling like a schoolgirl" or Japanese porn?

Define "all you can eat"
User avatar #82 to #16 - sabcy (08/12/2013) [-]
all, meaning an entirety
you, referring to a single person not of the self
can, meaning having the ability to
eat, the act of consumption by oral ingestion
"all you can eat", a restaurant slogan stating that while a consumer may do so as much they want, it is assumed that they will not be capable of consuming more than they paid for

Am I the only one who disliked this show? I mean, it completely ruined the fact he learned a lesson in the movie . . .

Nice lines every so often but. . . it was really disconnected with the movie.

The Emeror's New Groove was the movie. This is the Disney Channel spin off.
In the show, Kuzco has a crush on the girl and often hits on her, asks her out, or daydreams about her. This is one of those daydreams. I assume it's just one of those jokes put in there for the adults watching.
User avatar #100 to #63 - neutralgray (08/12/2013) [-]
I agree but I think the one show that ruined and essentially made the movie that came before it mean nothing more than this one was "Back to the Barnyard."

At least Kuzco had the small merit of being funny.
User avatar #77 to #63 - morbidbreath (08/12/2013) [-]
wait the show didnt take place before the movie?
User avatar #81 to #77 - daimondemon (08/12/2013) [-]
No, it was afterwards and because he didn't go to school, he was being forced to go through it so he could become emperor, which made no sense because schooling was never plot point in the movie, nor did royalty care about such. It was just bad overall
User avatar #80 to #77 - fedegon (08/12/2013) [-]
It's kind of a vague point.

Seriously? I t could be the worst show I've ever watched.

And for a show so poorly connected to it's movie, all it can do is steal and pillage from the movie, sucking it dry for every joke it had. Every single episode has a version of that "pull the lever" sequence, and every episode has a part where Yzma and Kronk ride the roller-coaster to their lad, every episode they high-five, and every episode their plot is devised in exactly the same format; Yzma comes up with an unnecessarily long, convoluted plan that may or may not directly achieve their goal, and then she has a sudden revelation where she uses a completely different, much simpler solution. Evety episode features Kront mistaking the fact that Yzma is posing as Amzy, and Kusco is trying to prove that she's evil. The ******* squirrel that appeared like, twice in the movie makes frequent appearances, and they even had an entire episode to "Demon Llamas", which was a two-line joke that lasted 8 seconds in the move. And, like you said, it completely goes against the entire moral of the movie.

There is literally nothing good about the show.
User avatar #66 to #63 - melontwilight (08/12/2013) [-]
Yes. I would have preferred it as maybe a prequel or something, or maybe his adventures as Emperor , I guess they could have come up with something for that.
No idea how they came up with this High School crap, they could have still done a lot with it as something else and still make his character live up to his turn around in the movie.
User avatar #67 to #66 - daimondemon (08/12/2013) [-]
Exactly, he could have been about him being a good emperor but still be a bit cocky or something, a good mix, instead return to how he was at the beginning of the movie and in High School, makes no sense.

what really annoyed me about the show is that this chick didn't want to date Kuzco, i mean yes he was an ass and in modern times she has every right to turn him down, but in the time period the show would have been set in any and every girl in the empire would be throwing themselves at the opportunity to become empress...especially when it's being offered on a silver platter
User avatar #31 - reaperssprint (08/11/2013) [-]
Man, it's been forever since I've seen this show. I can't remember, did they start dating at some point? And was this during that time?
User avatar #36 to #31 - fireprincess (08/11/2013) [-]
I think they became official in the last ep. But wikipedia says that they most likely broke up because the show is seen as a prequel to kronks New groove and they're not together in that.

User avatar #70 to #40 - hentaisweetie (08/12/2013) [-]
I changed "hottie" to "sexy" because I thought that was over-censoring. But other than that it's accurate. You can watch the actual episode if you want titled "Working Girl".
#107 to #70 - mrmamric (08/12/2013) [-]
That actually changes qutie a lot. Thank you.
User avatar #41 to #40 - feelythefeel (08/11/2013) [-]

Is this not a kids show? For kids?
User avatar #43 to #42 - feelythefeel (08/11/2013) [-]
It is. Why do you ask?
#44 to #43 - mrmamric (08/11/2013) [-]
;-; I can't be the only one to think that it's weird to let your kids watch a T.V. show that talks about sexual nurses and fetishes. I know I'm not very "new age" like you kids these days, but that's a bit too far, wouldn't you say?
User avatar #45 to #44 - feelythefeel (08/11/2013) [-]
I think you may be insulting the intelligence of children by implying that they have absolutely no notion of sexuality by the time they watch this show. Even if they don't, its not like hearing the word sexy is going to hurt them any.
#46 to #45 - mrmamric (08/11/2013) [-]
I haven't implied anything about the intelligence of children. But it's like giving a seven year old Call of Duty. Of course they have some idea of what death and murder is, but they really don't need to get into that subject right about now. But if parents these days really are fine with letting their kids wathc a show that even briefly jokes about sexualism, and then wonder why their fourteen and fifteen year old children have turned into sex machines - something apperent in modern American society - then I guess I can't stop them.
User avatar #48 to #46 - feelythefeel (08/11/2013) [-]
There's a difference between making children aware of sexuality and getting them to take it too far. In fact, withholding information about sexuality commonly leads to the latter. In my honest opinion, the best possible approach is to gradually teach them about stuff like that, so it isn't just some big secret to them.

Another part of this that I've failed to address is that a lot of children's shows (Especially ones of old) took a unique approach. This approach consisted of throwing the occasional tame adult joke in with the kiddy stuff. This, at the very least, keeps the parents from going insane watching these shows with their children. As a less obvious result, it's also how you get a following of different demographics than directly intended. Adventure Time, Invader Zim, Animaniacs, these are some that serve as children shows yet are revered by adults because of their deeper than usual comedy. The best part is, the kids won't care enough about the adult stuff to dissect it until much later, if at all.

It's really cult following making 101 for kid's shows.

After re-reading the post, I've switched sides. I had originally thought the entirety of the post was more or less sexual, but it was just a quick like of dialog. There's a huge difference in a scene being about that kind of stuff, and maybe one or two lines just making a subtle joke. I misjudged that difference.
