Did you know? The entire hallway scene
in Inception was unscripted: h The hallway
randomly began spinning around and the
actors just went with it.
THAT is one of the many reasons it' s a
Did you know that the actors didn' t even realise
they were on set? They thought they were just
checking into a hotel and then **** started spinning
all over the place. Crazy stuff. THAT is another
reason why Inception is a masterpiece and
Christopher Nealon is the greatest directer of all
Did you know? None of the actors even knew they were
being filmed. The entire movie was unscripted, and the
stagehands kept mugging the actors and moving them
from set to set, trapping them inside and filming their
reactions. Crazy stuff.
Did you know the actors didn' t even know they were actors?
The crewmen just followed them everywhere and told them
they were newsreaders. Crazy stuff.
Did you know this isn' t even a movie? All of us just had the same
dream. Amazing.
does it even get any deeper than this

In my opinion, Inception is most definitely the most over rated movie ever.

Did you know that Alfred Hitchcock went **** IT and got a crane and capsized the Missionary Tower in Vertigo just so he could do his trombone shot?

I remember this because there was a huge plagiarism scandal at my college involving this piece. Fun stuff.

The sad thing about inception is that there isn't a strong enough reason to have that story happen altogether anyway. It feels like the strangest possible plan to a very simple business by-out cituation.

Now if they had done that with let's say the leader of a third world country in order to sart or stop a world war, the outcome could have been engaging as well as the conflict with the character changing the world one dream at a time.

Yeah I agree, i spent more time figuring out why they were in Cillian Murphy's dreams than I did figuring out the ending

The fight itself was unscripted as in there was no choreography, Christopher Nolan just told Joseph Gordan Levitt to fight the other guy for like 15 minutes and they'll use what happens. The actors knew that the hallway would start spinning.

I hate it how people make suff up about a movie. My fav example is when Michael Caine supposedly lost his toungue, when seeing Heath Ledger in the party crashing scene from Dark Knight. Like who the **** believes that? So he didn't see him before the scene, or anytime on the set. And people believe that!? And Nolan just said : **** it, it's cooler when he doesn't speak". And of course it was a one take scene because **** logic. Ok, stuff sometimes happens on the set, and is taken into the mocie but most of those "stories" are just so ******* ******** .
User avatar #70 to #66 - bekindtoall (08/10/2013) [-]
But that is true, it was the first time Michael Caine had seen Heath Ledger in costume and he was so blown away that he forgot his lines, Nolan loved his reaction so much that he used the take. You are aware that actors on the same movies can go the entire production length without ever meeting each other if they share no scenes. For Example, Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Buzz) never met each other until the premier of the movie Toy Story.

comparing live action movie to the animated movie?
User avatar #79 to #71 - grandmabetty (08/10/2013) [-]
He is right you know.

Time is money, not everyone gets to mince around meeting and greeting on set.
User avatar #78 to #71 - bekindtoall (08/10/2013) [-]
Animation movies are probably a far better example in fact, with animated movies all the actors are in the same building just in different booths recording their voices, so the fact Tim Allen and Tom Hanks never met is pretty extraordinary as it takes more than a year to record the voices and match to the animation.

With live action the actors are not always in the same scene and therefore do not need to interact with each other hence not meeting each other is far more likely, especially when you consider certain scenes are needed to be shot across the entire globe.

Reminds me of one of my favorite stories, The Egg, by Andy Weir. Has anyone read it?

Yes, So much yes.

User avatar #62 to #61 - highhopes (08/10/2013) [-]
I think it has a wonderful meaning to it. It's exactly like karma, only told in a different way.
User avatar #63 to #62 - paintballgun (08/10/2013) [-]
It does have a incredible meaning to it. Like how we are just part of something bigger.
User avatar #89 to #63 - highhopes (08/10/2013) [-]
The only thing that keeps bugging me about it, is how badly it is written.

So if we are all the same person, and if many other actors have gotten oscars, that means Leo has an oscar!
User avatar #50 - snoozes (08/10/2013) [-]
That scene was nuts. In fact, that whole movie was a giant ******** . Actually, more like a giant mind-orgy. A big, dreamy, mind-orgy. With Leo.
