Also, Puck-man would have been aptly named so after the "paku-paku" sound he makes, which translates roughly to "gobble gobble." A more accurate definition would be literally gaping one's mouth open and shut.

watch scott pilgrim vs the world, the fact you wrote down was a "pick up line" for lack of a better term in the movie.

King K Rool wasn't replaced by a "piece of wood", he was replaced by many pieces of wood and in the end a giant piece of wood monster.

That's full bs. In the book it says that Portal and Half-Life were 50,000 years apart.
"One way to further differentiate Portal and Half-Life was to set the game far in the future—at least 50,000 years."

Then in that case, I know. The book (which he uses as a source) states what I quoted. I'm claiming that OP was incorrect.
But after doing research and reading about the timeline and Cave Johnson's rise and decline, I have come to the conclusion that no one knows when Portal 2 took place, so that makes it relatively unimportant.

OK, to be honest, I am quite confused about this one. Maybe I misunderstood something, so enlighten me please. How is it possible for Portal and Portal 2 to have such a big time difference? I mean 500 000 years? How come Chell is alive?

Didn't you meant between HL and Portal, OP? Explain this in detail, my brain hurts reading this fact over and over again.

Chell was in cryogenic super-goddamn-naptime mode in the in-between. They mention that literally in the first ten minutes of the game.

Sorry bro, I wasn't trying to be a dick. I just don't have the people skills.

Anyway yeah, Wheatley comes in at the very beginning and wakes you up. It's been a while since I've played so I don't remember if he tells you exactly how long you were out. Some people say the Rat-Man put you into cryo-sleep and some people say that GLaDos catches you at the end of the first Portal and puts you to sleep. I can't find anything official to back up either story.

The ending of portal one got changed to once chell lands outside of the facility in the car park, a robot comes and thanks her for assuming the part goer position or something, and drags her off backwards.

No problem, it's just that I feel hostility from every comment now and then, but ok.

Anyway, I've read some articles. After the big explosion at the end of Portal, a Party Escort Bot theportalwiki.com/wiki/Party_Escort_Bot drags you back and puts you into Relaxation Vault theportalwiki.com/wiki/Aperture_Science_Extended_Relaxation_Center . After that, the announcer wakes you 50 days after the explosion, to monitor your health. And after going back to sleep, Wheatley wakes Chell up after 50,000 years of sleep. Rat-Man is the reason Chell survived so long because he forced all the life-supporting thingy into her chamber only.

So both, makes sense...

And about the hostility: I'm obnoxiously energetic at times (manic-depressive ftw) so it's not uncommon for me to go overboard. It's totally reasonable to mistake that over-expression as sarcasm or hostility, especially on a message board where there's little to no tone.
tl;dr I'm not yelling out of anger, I just have a stupidly loud voice. Metaphorically.

Rat-Man, the man who survived GLaDos' toxins, put Chell in this kind or cryogenic stasis type thingy. I don't think it was ACTUALLY cryo-stasis but worked in the same way. That was the room you start in.
