Just the other day a recipe told me to cut a piece of meat crosswise. I didn't know what that was, so I google it and found out. The internet taught me about cooking.

It has always been like this. Before the internet, "Everything I learned in college can be found for free in a library." Duh. One of the most well-educated people I know didn't graduate high-school.

MIT offers free full courses, you don't get a diploma or anything, but you still get ivy league education.
