She's becoming Brian Griffin, both just really preachy and liberal
User avatar #8 to #7 - reaperssprint (08/02/2013) [-]
Exactly. I absolutely hate arrogant people, and that's basically what they are. They're views are matter-of-fact and they refuse to admit that they aren't always right.

**** me, I'm getting annoyed by cartoon characters. I need to go rethink a few things.

ok so me thinking lisa is a cunt makes me a hipster according to your logic?
User avatar #95 to #94 - vycanismajoris (08/02/2013) [-]
No. You saying "I always though" is what makes me think you're one. If you had said that you started hating her with the new chapters, then it's not hipster. Kinda.

i just never liked her i grew up watching the Simpsons and i never liked that cunt
also "I liked/disliked something before it got popular" doesn't mean your are a phanact ass hipster it just means you like/dislike something

Anything a woman does is empowering.

Become a man's sex slave for life.

All that power.

It been personally empowering for the women, if she is willing. If she's forced into I doubt it would be the most revolutionary experience.
#18 to #4 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
Actually, modern feminism encourages women to be either sexually dominant or submissive according to their personal taste rather than a traditional dogma that tells them to be submissive or an early feminist dogma that tells them to be dominant.
User avatar #29 to #18 - weenieandthebutt (08/02/2013) [-]
What I don't understand about modern feminism was that I thought they were against women being sexually objectified or dressing promiscuously in magazines and now they're advocated to dress like that in public. Seriously, which is it?

A woman is liberated to do whatever the **** she wants with her own life but slut culture is not empowering in anyway!
#63 to #29 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
They want you to live life how you want to (provided that you're not hurting anyone, of course). They don't like the idea of society telling women how they should or shouldn't behave - they support doing whatever you feel suits you, be it dressing skimpily, or modestly. Be it dominance or submissiveness. As long as nobody's getting hurt it's all good.
User avatar #101 to #63 - erdbeerbaum (08/02/2013) [-]
Thats what "real" feminists fight for
and I support that

not those ******* feminazis
User avatar #59 to #29 - timmywankenobi (08/02/2013) [-]
maybe it is sexually empowering ? I dunno it is highly illogical.
#21 - darcandkharg (08/02/2013) [-]
I hate the episodes that Lisa is "I'm right, you're wrong", like the vegetarian episode, But her and bart together still make laugh.
User avatar #20 - kosicandavid (08/02/2013) [-]
Lisa is such a brat. She should appreciate that Homer is stucked in job he hate just so the rest of his family including her is doing literally nothing.
#25 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
my favorite pitch from feminism: 'feminism is about gender equality.' so why's it called 'feminism'? could a man be a masculinist and be all about gender equality? the label itself is sexist; calling gender equality feminism implies that advocating gender equality is strictly woman-like behavior.
User avatar #30 to #25 - weenieandthebutt (08/02/2013) [-]
feminism = female supremacy.

egalitarianism = equal rights for both genders.
User avatar #42 to #30 - lyiat (08/02/2013) [-]
You can't simplify egalitarianism like that. Egalitarianism is equal rights for "all life". This includes sexes, gender identities (more than just male and female), sexual preferences, races, and possibly even extra-terrestrial life.
#61 to #42 - lewhisperingeye (08/02/2013) [-]
Well if a lesbian alien lands on Earth, thats cool bro.
#89 to #42 - mikeoxlong (08/02/2013) [-]
You could call it just 'equalism'.
#105 to #25 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
because it was made back when women didn't have any rights. it was about bringing women up to the level of men and focusing on women's issues that men had been ignoring

Die, feminist

User avatar #5 - weenieandthebutt (08/01/2013) [-]
Principal Skinner vs Feminists (Mirror) What it's like arguing with a feminist and trying to be as diplomatic as possible without trying to offend them:

"Am I wearing women's clothes? I didn't notice. When I look in my closet, I don't see male clothes or female clothes. They're all the same".

"Are you saying that men and women are identical!?"

"NO, NO, of course not, women are unique in every way"

"Now he's saying women and men aren't equal".

"NO, NO, NO. It's the differences of which there are none that make the sameness exceptional........Just tell me what to say........."
#53 to #5 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
I honestly don't know if you make this **** up, because that kind of person in the 0.00002%. Or I dunno, you had the argument over the internet.
User avatar #86 - costello (08/02/2013) [-]
I hate the episode where it's Lisa's birthday and Homers in an insane asylum and the family are getting him out, but she sits at home bitching about no one getting her a ******* birthday cake or some ****
User avatar #67 - vanoreo (08/02/2013) [-]
I hate the term feminism

I agree with the goal of equality

I prefer the term "gender equality" over feminism

Because feminism implies that everything will become more feminized rather than just being equals

radical anythings suck
User avatar #76 to #67 - krobeles (08/02/2013) [-]
Then again, wouldn't we just get a new definition of radical if all these "radicals" suddenly disappeared?
The radical Christians (or any religion for that matter) are still a good deal less radical then the radicals 1000 years ago. Or even 500 or 200 years for that matter.
I think we'll always have something we consider 'radical' and a nuisance, because thats what we do. We look upon a spectrum and define the most extream part of it as 'radical'.
I think the trick is, to just not entertain the notion that these groups matter.
#107 to #76 - ofalo (08/02/2013) [-]
well the problem at its heart isn't feminist, its grouping the radicals in the same boat as normal feminist, if people referred to it as being radically feminist being a normal feminist wouldn't be a despised thing due to association. I do prefer "gender equality" though sounds fair.
User avatar #82 to #76 - vanoreo (08/02/2013) [-]
Radical pretty much means "non conforming"
#50 - anon (08/02/2013) [-]
Are people really arguing over the philosophical views of a young girl on an animated sitcom who's remained the same age for the last 20+ years?

Hey come on now people sexism does still exist we need to beat back this oppression.
Men are being discriminated against all over the world by women who think they deserve more rights than we have because our fathers and their fathers had more rights than their mothers and grandmothers.

It is ******* disgusting if you ask me.
