if you watch the DVD with commentaries, it explains everything. It's the same with Hot Fuzz.

Well spotted OP. heres another one:

When Ed & Shaun come back from the night out after Liz dumps Shaun, Pete comes down and starts shouting at them "ive got to get up for ******* work in four ******* hours cause every other ****** in my ******* department is ******* ill!" etc. etc. ( Funky Pete - Shaun of the Dead )

After he storms out, Ed says "Next time i see him, he's dead"

Next time he sees him...

Also Pete says "If you want to live like an animal go live in a shed." And sure enough Ed dies and ends up living in Shaun's shed.

I had to hover over the eye, right click, and then click the video link. That was the most work I did all day...

Had to hover over it and press tab to select the video then enter

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are great together, but I also liked Simon Pegg's performance in Burke and Hare.

Burke and Hare is such a good film, well worth the watch.

And to think that it's based on actual events.

Each character's name also rhymes with their eventual fate.
Pete gets eat.
Di Dies.
Ed Lives in the Shed
Shaun Moves On.
Phil Gets Killed.

It even says this in the subtitles.

I loved Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but isn't getting into a third movie (World's End), involving everyone becoming brainwashed in some way and turning against him (Zombies, evil cult, now robots), just redoing the same concept again and getting a bit stale? I haven't seen the new movie, this was just off the trailers but, opinions?

Biggest Hollywood Quote is "Give me the same thing, only different" It's what makes money because it's what gets funded.
User avatar #159 to #131 - pajamashark (07/31/2013) [-]
I'm fairly certain that's the point of the three movies. They're considered an almost-trilogy.
User avatar #161 to #131 - mmmilovemeth (07/31/2013) [-]
I don't think it's stale personally, the new one is as good as the other two.

anyway, the main point of the films isn't the brainwashing/taking over story, it's just a backdrop and set up for a buddy comedy
User avatar #134 to #131 - sanguinesolitude (07/31/2013) [-]
yep. but that's what hollywood does best, find a prize horse, ride it into the ground, and then beat the dead horse. Anything is better than having to try something risky, like putting out an original film.
User avatar #146 to #134 - psychfouronenine (07/31/2013) [-]
Risky gets no funding because risky doesn't make bank. Risky goes to Sundance.

I just watched the new film "the worlds end", it was super sexy ******* awesome! it links all of the films and series (like spaced) together in little ways and is way different from the other films
User avatar #132 to #106 - sketchysketchist (07/31/2013) [-]
It connects the films?
Can you tell me.
I don't mind spoilers.
User avatar #142 to #132 - thebritishguy (07/31/2013) [-]
These are going to be great big spoilers
At the end they have to restart the human race and so they only eat organic food which the fat guy complained about earlier, he says he doesn't really mind having the organic food but there are some artificial foods that he liked and then a cornetto wrapper went by, the series is called "the blood and cornetto trilogy" because in all the films nick is obsessed with cornettos.
They go around pubs which are invaded by robots, which is basically the same as shaun of the dead
He tries to jump lots of fences and things but falls over or breaks the fence which is in the previous films
There are the actors from the series "spaced" which he did with Nick ages ago and is brilliant
The idea of them being action heroes in a really slow and dreary village is sort of borrowed from Hot Fuzz
After the robot invasion the robots have human jobs, in the same way that after the zombie invasion in shaun of the dead they got human jobs
I'm sure there are a lot more which I didn't notice
User avatar #156 to #142 - sketchysketchist (07/31/2013) [-]
Those aren't really spoilers as much as they're easter eggs.
I dunno what to call them, but they're things only really good fans of the trilogy would notice.
