He never acted like a cunt in the start (before early 2012). Guys just hated him because of his fame and success with girls, so guys were telling themselves that he's a cunt , or gay, etc. to make themselves feel better compared to him. He was a nice person (I used to stay really up-to-date with news about him)
User avatar #109 to #105 - envinite ONLINE (07/30/2013) [-]
I think he's a average 'good-teen' celeb in the start, only hated because chicks dig him and his song sounds really 'gay'. Popularity ruins him, look at him now, ******* douche ass.
#71 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
I don't hate the boy himself. Now, before you thumb me down, hear me out. He was like 16 or 17 (not sure) when he suddenly became the biggest current pop sensation in the world. He was treated like a king by so many people, and he pretty much got whatever he wanted and could do whatever he wanted.

This would turn most people into an arrogant spoiled prick, let alone a 16/17 year old boy. Obviously he started acting like a king, because his entire social surrounding treated him like one. Now that this has pretty much ruined him, everyone is starting to hate him for it. The same group that made him an arrogant prick is now trying to take him down for it.

tl;dr. Society made Bieber what he is. Don't hate him for it, hate society for it.

Study some psychology. It's how the human mind works that makes it so obvious that this would happen to him.
I'm not a psychology expert, but I know enough to understand what he's saying. Is Bieber acting like a douche? Yes. But it's not surprising, because people let him. It's called being human; if you can do whatever you want without consequences, you will.
I agree with you that he acts like a cunt, but I think you're trying too hard to make him terrible. I also strongly believe you have no idea what you're talking about. Keep in mind the kid got famous at age fifteen, and he was generally a pretty chill guy at first. Grateful, even.
It's no surprise that over time this **** got to him. It happens to most.

User avatar #116 to #111 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
I already said what I have to say above. Plus you fools have no true concept of Psychology, well besides the broad Highschool definition of how the mind works. I mean yeah you guys are sorta right, but you guys lack the social science that this topic dearly needs, and that is Sociology. Justin never goes around by himself doing his stupid **** of course he has friends and like every human being on social interaction we try to be better or up to par with our friends. That's what he's simply doing, being a prick to show off. Like I said, don't blame society blame the individual. His brain wasn't made to act like a complete asshole his social life is what created the monster.
TL;DR: Not Psychology, it's Sociology. What I said above but more on point because you phanacts can't even comprehend the simplest of phrases.

>But I know enough to understand what he's talking about.
Please, do tell me how you're an expert on everything you talk about.
I pointed out I'm not expert because I'm not trying to look intelligent, I'm speaking from what I've learned. In other words, I'm aware that perhaps I'm missing something, I'm speaking from my knowledge. No need to be a dick about it.

I totally agree with you. There really is nothing to hate about the kid now. He was a decent hometown boy when he started out. The problem is, like you said, society. I think the other problem here is he never got a chance to "grow up". He did his high school with online courses once he got famous. I go to college online and I have nothing against that. But this kid missed out on alot of important social lessons coming up. I think when I was around 17 or 18 is when I went from being a teenage **** to a man. I don't think this kid learned how to be a man. The way he acts, talks (even in his stupid tweets), he sounds like a disrespectful little punk. He even talked **** about President Clinton on video and had to apologize for it. And he made so much money now, he doesn't realize what it takes to really make it in the world. He never worked hard for what he got, he had an extremely lucky break. All he does is walks on stage and dances, probably lip syncs to live recordings, and hes done for the day.

I would bet you any money he probably doesn't have many real friends. He has tour people. agents, managers, stage crew, and etc. But probably no real friends. And I'm sure alot of young girls want to **** him but the truth is he's probably going to have a VERY hard time ever having a real relationship with someone. Most people will want him for his fame and/or money.

To top that off, he is surrounded by bad influences, eg. people selling him drugs and marijuana that he keeps getting caught with. I think the only way this kid will ever have his life back is if he just quits for a good couple years. Takes a break, try to make some real friends and family, and stay off the drugs.

No we can hate Bieber, he still has self control. Don't blame society for the actions of an individual.
User avatar #118 to #107 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
If you don't correct a child when he does something wrong, he won't learn how to behave. He became famous at 16 (a child) and since then society allowed him to do what he wanted, never correcting him. If you grow up being able to do whatever you want, you will, like explained before.

Society is fully to blame for not correcting a kid on his mistakes.
User avatar #122 to #118 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
And you're saying that we are unable to learn from our own mistakes/misdoings?
User avatar #124 to #122 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
Some people are. Quite a lot aren't. Especially if you are praised by everyone around you, which implies you're doing excellent as it is.
User avatar #126 to #124 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
So are you saying it's entirely not his fault at all?
User avatar #128 to #126 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
You can't help being born without the capacity to see your own mistakes if nobody says you have any in the first place. So, no.
User avatar #133 to #128 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
Everyone has that capacity, and he knows his mistakes. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to judge it's not right to pee in a mop bucket in a restaurant, or to not speed in a residential neighborhood you live in with your Ferrari, even after the countless times your neighbors warned you. Don't mistake ignorance with adolescent developmental psychology, he's old enough to learn from his mistakes but he chooses not to.
User avatar #135 to #133 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
I see what you think, but you really underestimate the influence of the people around him (which in his case is a very strong presence), who say everything he does is fine. How should he know what he does is even wrong if nobody shows him?
User avatar #136 to #135 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
I'm saying that people do show him, it's all over the T.V, newspapers, etc. Like I said about his neighbors, they went to his house and tried talking to him. Justin wasn't a celebrity brat compared to other's before him, Lohan, Olsen Twins, other D list celebs who started at an extremely younger age than 15 or 16, I would say that most of us at that age had a shred of common sense right and the meaning of what is right and what is wrong, I mean I know I did.
User avatar #190 to #136 - herbolifee (07/30/2013) [-]
I didn't really take that in consideration (which admitted, was silly) but you certainly are right on that. Not much to add really. Well, thanks for the proper discussion.
User avatar #138 to #135 - omgitzdeadpool (07/30/2013) [-]
Look, we can go all night, because just like Psychology, there are small field that have theories that counteract from other schools of Psychology; however, I have important matters to attend to.

"Let him do what he wants, its not his fault or responsibility" No. Shut up.
#184 - anon (07/30/2013) [-]
I used to be a supporter, not a fan, because I thought he was a nice person and a positive role model for kids (and I liked a few of his songs), but since mid-2012 he has really been a different person. I know he's growing up but that doesn't mean acting like a prick. Watching old videos of him (2009-2011) and wow he has changed so much, for the worse. I really hope he changes back, or at least find a healthy middle ground.

The fact that so many great players never touched it, yet he got to touch it TWICE is wrong. i think it was the confusion of having die hard fans, sycophants, and people who hatel him with a passion that ****** him up. having that come at you all day every day would **** up anyone's mind
User avatar #38 to #37 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
Poor bastard.

Hope that never happens to me
User avatar #72 to #36 - cameronisepic (07/30/2013) [-]
Of course, who wouldn't. I mean the kids life started off horribly. His mother was a rape victim, who was poor and lived off food stamps till her child became famous.
User avatar #46 to #36 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Really? The world treating him like a piece of crap? He's incredibly famous. He own a big house and a ferrari. He does whatever he wants and gets away with it. I think he's treated well. If he can't handle people calling him a fag then he needs to stop being famous because as long as he is famous he will be treated like crap by the people who hate him. I hate him because he sits on top of a throne of bad music and 10 year old girls wet dreams. He's a horrible person.

Well if fame and fortune makes you happy then I wish you the best, I hope you get those things in your life.

Though I just want to let you know quite a few people out there can't handle abuse that well and might change if exposed to it for too long.
User avatar #49 to #48 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Oh he needs to grow a pair.
User avatar #50 to #49 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
And you need to grow a sense of empathy.
User avatar #51 to #50 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Why should I feel empathy for that little twat? He deserves all the **** people say about him, speeding around in that ferrari, spitting on people, acting like a douschbag. He deserves a lot worse than a few people on the internet calling him a fag.
User avatar #52 to #51 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
He actually started out to be a real nice kid.
User avatar #53 to #52 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Then let the fame get to his head. That story has been told many times before him.
User avatar #54 to #53 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
You mispelled hate
User avatar #55 to #54 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Nah I'm pretty sure it's the fame.
User avatar #56 to #55 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
Have you ever even been in a situation where people hate you just because who you are? Where no matter how hard you try people still detest you just because they find pleasure in it?
User avatar #76 to #56 - screaming (07/30/2013) [-]
That's the world of the music industry, which he needs to learn and understand. When you're such a famous person, you're BOUND to have people detest or hate you. When he has such a large fanbase as it is, there's absolutely no excuse to treat his fans like **** just because others don't like him.
User avatar #77 to #76 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
A teenage boy is not meant the handle such a hospitible envrionment
User avatar #78 to #77 - screaming (07/30/2013) [-]
Hayley Williams was 17 when she started in the rock industry and Paramore became a hit right off the bat, yet she hasn't gone off the rails and become a cunt. A few others could be included too, if I could actually remember them right now.
User avatar #79 to #78 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
She isn't Justin Beiber.
User avatar #80 to #79 - screaming (07/30/2013) [-]
No, but she WAS a teenage musician, which is the point you made. He has absolutely no valid excuse to be a cunt.
User avatar #81 to #80 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
And here-go, because one teenage musician survived such an environment, all others must have done the same.
User avatar #90 to #81 - screaming (07/30/2013) [-]
Adam Lazzara - 18 when he started with Taking Back Sunday, found major success as the band's frontman in the alt rock scene.
One Direction - not adults, yet are still able to handle their lives in the industry.
Danny Worsnop - 18 when he founded Asking Alexandria - who have since quickly become one of the biggest bands in metalcore - yet is still a pretty decent guy.

I did say there were others.
User avatar #94 to #90 - ubercookieboy (07/30/2013) [-]
3 other people among a mass of 6 billion others.
User avatar #143 to #94 - zatchattack (07/30/2013) [-]
I highly doubt there's 6 billion other teenage music stars.
User avatar #191 to #56 - ninjastarthrow (07/30/2013) [-]
Yeah I have been in that situation, we have all been through Middle School. I just didn't let it bother me because I didn't let what they said get to me.
User avatar #196 to #191 - ubercookieboy (07/31/2013) [-]
To what degree?
User avatar #197 to #196 - ninjastarthrow (07/31/2013) [-]
Well some assholes I didn't even know hated me so they tormented me a lot. Started a rumor that I was gay, beat me up a lot, knocked lunch trays out of my hand, stole my clothes in Gym, and the thing that bothered me the most was no one really cared. But I'm older now, those kids work at dead end jobs and I'm joining The Navy. I got over it. Why can't Justin?
User avatar #198 to #197 - ubercookieboy (07/31/2013) [-]
Then you are lucky. Unfortunately not all of us are that strong.

I've also been through my fair share of abuse, which unfortunately has left me very damaged [Up to the point where I may never recover from it]. I can tell you by experience that enough abuse can seriously **** a person up.
