Why not simply have a cat-flap in your door and let your cat come and go as it please?

Indoor cats live much longer than outdoor cats.

I had two outdoor cats during my childhood. Both were declawed. One of them died around 10 because my mom killed him, but the other one lived to be 20. What's more, even without claws, she managed to kill birds, rats, and even an owl once and leave them in our driveway on a daily basis. I don't see why outdoor cats can't live both a long and good life as long as you keep them up to date on their shots and get them examined by a vet regularly.

What good is another 7-10 years of lifespan if you die having never truly lived?

My cat refuses to use a cat flap... He knows how to, but he just wont... Although we just a window or door open for him, so...

Cats kill a ******* of birds and other critters. And there are so many of them in our times that it can be dangerous for the population of birds. Also cats kill for fun.
Dayum my english gone so bad <.<
And i love cats, so no hate ;)

You must have a rather small bird population where you live if a few cats can tip the scales.
Practically every other house in my Parent's neighbourhood has a cat, and there still lives a lot of birds.

Because having other peoples pets run amok in peoples gardens, might piss said people off ?

If people can't handle animals being animals then they shouldn't have a garden.

My cat love's outside but has a phobia of outside. This would be perfect for her, because she would have a sense of being inside while being outside. This idea will also keep those fuken hawks from getting her.
