Of course I'll sleep tight. I don't live in the sea, and this wasn't even remotely scary. Interesting, sure but scary? Wouldn't scare a 5 year old.

Imagine it eating your foot, or part of your foot. Yes, it wouldn't be necessarily deadly but I don't think that thought of a 25cm fish chomping on my foot till it's bloody is a good thought.
#111 to #108 - milkinmapockets (07/28/2013) [-]
But why would a fish crawl up to my bed?
#113 to #111 - tyroneisanigger (07/28/2013) [-]
I meant when you are swimming. Then again, those are most likely river fish and most people advise against swimming in rivers for this reason, and currents.

Yeah, I will sleep well tonight.
1.This fish lives in the "Twilight Zone" depth of the sea, so it would die if it tried to reach the surface.
2. Once again, it's in the ocean.
3. I'm larger than 50cm long.

I think that's a parasite that eats the fish's tongue and then replaces it, forgot what it was called though

They're called isopods.
User avatar #54 to #37 - FUUUU (07/28/2013) [-]
This is from the movie "The Bay". It's based on a parasite that eats the tongue of a fish, attaches itself to the fish, and acts as the tongue for it. But the movie is pretty gruesome.

its a relative of a rolly polly bug, those things under leaf matter with legs lots of them. tiny as **** ....yeah they get cat sized in the ocean.
#32 - roxasbaby ONLINE (07/28/2013) [-]
These guys are pretty scary and all, but the gulper eel is terrifying. This thing can grow up to 6 feet.
#29 - ncisagentgibbs **User deleted account** (07/28/2013) [-]
Based on what I know about biology, the facial structure of the Black Swallower is consistent with examples of fish found in the extreme depths of the ocean.

Therefore, we can conclude that contact with this particular fish is highly improbable to cause any significant ill thoughts.

And yes, I will sleep well tonight.
