When you join the military, you dont join to die, you join to serve and protect the United States from all enemies both foreign and domestic. Ive been the one to give the American flag to that son or wife that wont get to see her husband come home through the front door again. Dont get me wrong, when I heard about sandy, I felt nothing but the need to bear the **** out of the guy who did that. Does this picture bother me? No, not really. I just wanted to give my 2 cents on what this picture means to me since ive been in situations like that.

It's a terrible thing and I feel for the people who befall these tragedies. But I find these jokes funny and I laugh, because even if something is terrible we need to laugh at it to get past it.

The types of people laughing at these jokes don't need to get past anything. They don't find it sad. They just think it's funny. You don't need to lie to make yourself feel like less of an asshole. The whole "I'm sad about this, but I need to laugh to cope with it" thing is ******** .
The truth is that anyone who laughs at death is simply an asshole. Anyone who feels the need to lie to make themselves look better is even more of an asshole.
