America is the kind of friend that would buy you ice cream and then convince you he should eat it.

not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing

As an American, I totally agree. We aren't the assholes that steal your ice cream...
We just convince you that we should be the ones eating it.

And bomb the **** out of everyone who doesn't agree. If the Earth was a hig school, America would be the stupid bully who is insecure about his dick.

You just sound so intelligent right now.

It's a game I like to call "Find the butthurt Yankee" found one...
User avatar #261 to #260 - psykobear (07/26/2013) [-]
So anyone that disagrees with out is "butthurt"? You would be a good politician.
User avatar #262 to #261 - SmilingJackSmyth ONLINE (07/26/2013) [-]
So, let me get this straight. You actually disagree with what I'm saying, so you're trying to imply that I sound like an idiot, because you disagree with me.

Instead of trying to bring up a valid point against my analogy, you came up with a lame insult, and then tried to accuse me of the logical fallacy that YOU just committed.

You suck. Go buy yourself a happy-meal with extra large fatass menu, and a diet coke, american. And leave thinking to those who can.
User avatar #270 to #262 - psykobear (07/26/2013) [-]
Ok, you make a good point, and I can acknowledge that. But falling back on the same insults that everyone uses to generalize everyone in a country is kind of primitive. You're right, I resorted to insults, but what's said is said. You, however, resorted to generalizing a whole country based on nothing.

"Bomb the **** out of everyone who doesn't agree." Bombed Nazis because they were Nazis, who wouldn't? Bombed Japs because they bombed us, no brainer. Bombed Al Qaeda because they are a terrorist group. How is this bombing everyone who disagrees?

"If the Earth was a high* school, America would be the stupid bully who is insecure about his dick." If you look throughout history, the only fights the US has been in (other than the Revolution and Civil wars) were trying to protect another country. How is this being a bully?

You're right, I brought no valid point, but I am bringing them now.
And the Happy Meal thing? How original.

So, you honestly believe that the 2 atom bombs on Japan were justified, even though they were dropped AFTER their surrender?

Who the **** do you think you're protecting in Iraq? Who the **** were you protecting in Vietnam? And don't even bring the bogeyman Al-Queda up.

Just think about this for a second: from the annual budget you warmongering assholes spend on killing others could end hunger on the world. It would be enough money to change the world for the better with it, but nooo, you guys have to have the bigger dick.

And for the record, I don't think every single person from america is a retarded warmongering brainwashed asshole. It's just that AS A COUNTRY, that's what it is.
#299 to #278 - anon (07/26/2013) [-]
you're not going to acknowledge the ****** up things japan was doing at the time?
User avatar #281 to #278 - SmilingJackSmyth ONLINE (07/26/2013) [-]
Oh yeah, and about the nazis, the only reason you people weren't on their side, is because they threathened you.
User avatar #296 to #281 - psykobear (07/26/2013) [-]
Ok, where to start, where to start.

Yes. The two atom bombs on Japan were justified. We wanted Japan to leave the war, and they wouldn't quit. A message was necessary. One bomb was used and the Japanese believe we had no more and wouldn't do it again. The second bombing was to convince them to step down. The island to island hopping war we were having was claiming way too many lives on both sides. Many people forget that the soldiers' lives are important, too, and many didn't even want to fight.

Boogeyman Al Qaeda? How can you even suggest that they don't exist? We have legitimate proof that they are behind the attacks. Trying to eliminate Al Qaeda is saving many people, as a terrorist group kills innocent people to send a message. In Vietnam, we were protecting South Vietnam from North Vietnam. What is hard to understand about that? In Iraq, Iraq is not being attacked, Al Qaeda is.

"You warmongering assholes" Did you know that it is NOT put up to a vote of the people when to go to war? Not all of us chose to be involved in **** . And while I'm on that note, the money the country spends on "killing others" prevents many other innocent people from being killed. "You guys have to have the bigger dick" Wow, you go straight to dicks a lot don't you? But anyways, as I said, trying to stop terrorists (I hate using the word, it makes me sound like Bush) prevents many other innocent lives from being taken.

The Nazi bit, who are you to decide this? Do you have any proof to support this, or is this some fanatical idea you generated? The United States was on NEITHER side until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The way you put it, you seem to thin k that America would be on the Nazi side, when America contains pretty much every ethnicity there is, and wouldn't be one for genocide.

Correction about the time of Japan's surrender noted. My history book says otherwise, convince me by showing a more reliable source than wikipedia. Peer reviewed journal or somesuch.

I'm not doubting Al-queda exists, but if someone tells you that that's what you people are shooting at over there, they're really giving you the full fist. Do you believe that you people are the good guys? REALLY? (As if such a thing existed in war).

What really baffles me, is this: I can tell you're not stupid, but even you can call dropping an atomic bomb justified, because the island to island war was taking too many lives on both sides", oh the compassion, for both sides! So let's just nuke the ******* . That oughta stop the killing!

It's quite early here, and I'm starting to ramble. Point is: You know your armies are out there murdering people. And you justifyp, and kept it with ******** . And justify that with more ******** , such as war on terrorism, war for liberty, war for peace. The world would be so much better if america just sat down, shut up, and kept researching instead of destroying stuff.

I'm too lazy to bring up proof about the japan thing because I'm trying to get on some TF2 with my friends. Can someone else reply to me with it? I'd appreciate it.

I don't believe we are the good guys. There are no good guys in war, but bad guys are more than real. And if someone can try to stop the bad guys, more power to them.

The nukes were dropped on military cities. They weren't randomly selected. The war with Japan could have gone on indefinitely and many a soldier's life would have been taken, both those of the Japanese and American. Yes, the bombs killed many, but most likely less than would have died if the war went on for four years or so.

I completely agree with your last statement. The American government should just mind their own damn business. But you can't be so black and white about it. On one hand, yes, they are in other people's business and getting little done. But this doesn't mean that America is a war mongering group. If that was true, we would start wiping out countries with no military, but we aren't doing that and have no desire to do that.

Also, thank you. But think about it. You said, "I can tell you're not stupid," but earlier, you were very quick to say, "Go buy yourself a happy-meal with extra fatass menu." If you go straight to the stereotypical insults of a group when you find them aggressive (Sorry about that), you'll never find out anything else about them. I haven't even asked what country you were from because it is irrelevant to our discussion. I would still be talking about this were I from anywhere else.
User avatar #306 to #303 - SmilingJackSmyth ONLINE (07/26/2013) [-]
Simple. You started the convo with a mild insult, and I replied in kind.

When you brought the arguments, you proved you're better than you first let on.

Anyway, in the sometime in the future, it's going to be up to people like you to change the public opinion on America not by justifying mistakes of the past, but laying the groundwork for a better future.

And sincerely, good luck with that, because that change will not come without blood.

Sidenote: I'm not thumbing you down, we are having a discussion. I wish people wouldn't use thumbs here, but you can't stop FunnyJunkers.

Also on a side note, I really couldn't care less about thumbs, we're having an open discussion.
