Fun fact: The character named "Machete" in Spy Kids is actually the exact same Machete that appeared in his own ultra-violent movie in 2010. Danny Trejo has confirmed this.

I kind of realized that when his name came up as Machete, I'm like "isn't he uncle Machete from spy kids" and now you confirmed my beliefs.

But how come Daryl Sabara or Sbaro or whatever isn't addressed as Juni? Unless he's not supposed to be that character.

Well, humans were created in the image of god, I can only assume that this would include, state of mind, and mentality as well, and since god is the only true omnipotent deity, humans the only ones who can understand god, and interact with him, because we have free will, and Angels and Demons do not, so maybe he is afraid, because, like god, we can only observe our selves through other people observing and interacting with us, so maybe when god created humans, and saw how "he" interacted, and saw how he truly was, he became afraid, as he caught a glimpse of what he truly was.

#113 to #27 - John Cena (07/25/2013) [-]
first of all, angels and demons do have free will. angels=demons. A demon is an angel who turned away from god and followed satan, another former angel. secondly god isnt afraid of himself, he made adam and eve as perfect creations and he enjoyed hanging out with them in the garden of eden, but then satan corrupted them into sin. god doesnt hide in heaven, he sent himself down as living flesh to be with his creation, and to save it. god fears nothing.
User avatar #212 to #113 - useroftheLOLZ (07/26/2013) [-]
Angels and Demons do not have free will, they are incapable of understanding such concepts as they are not truly sentient being, they are an embodiment of some sort of idea. Second, Satan did not corrupt Adam and Eve, if God's creations were so perfect, why did they commit the original sin? Third, God made Adam in his image, and Eve from Adam, they are copies of God, minus the omnipotence, so by extension, Adam, Eve, and their children are pieces of God. Fourth, how can you claim that god fears nothing, when he has shown to be capable of feeling human emotions. Fifth, I am an Atheist, I don't believe in any of this **** , and merely was trying to start a philosophical discussion, not some retarded ******** .
#119 to #27 - cabbagemayhem (07/25/2013) [-]
Only, why would he be afraid of being benevolent and interacting gloriously? Mind not blown.
#125 to #27 - John Cena (07/25/2013) [-]
Technically, humans USED to have God's mentality and all, but since humanity was corrupted by sin, we don't completely have the Godlike mentality. I mean, we kinda do. With all the good people in the world doing generous and noble deeds, we act in the mentality he gave us. But you still have the people who don't act how we were meant to act.

Probably going to get thumbed down to oblivion for this, but I don't care.
#162 to #125 - John Cena (07/25/2013) [-]
Or maybe sin is a part of what God is and God isn't perfect?

Anon, shut up and consider the possibilities. Nothing is impossible and there could as easily be God as there could not be a God.
#165 to #71 - John Cena (07/25/2013) [-]
Not the same anon, but:

No. Definitely not. In NO way is what you said true. I'm not saying that this justifies any anti-religious behavior, but from a realistic standpoint, at least when referring to a judeo-christian god, there is a near-zero chance of god's existence. If you've read the bible in its entirety, you would know this.

Again, I'm not saying that the other anon's comment was really necessary or that any of this warrants hate, but there is no reason that you should be getting thumbs right now; you're just so wrong. Other anon didn't even say God was impossible, and even so, after considering the realistic possibilities, the chance of god's existence, is indeed, practically zero.

Don't even pretend that God is in any way realistic. I don't mind if you believe in him, but don't pretend like you're right or even close to plausible. If you choose to be christian, that's fine, but don't pretend like your beliefs aren't unrealistic.

I never said that it had to be "God" per se. I believe that there's something out there that just likes to **** with us. It likes to let us progress and it always puts challenges in our way and it always makes our lives as difficult as possible. It also sets boundaries in which we cannot evade and places that we may not trespass such as Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle.

I don't buy into reading the Bible for answers, though it is a very great story and has some true accounts that can guide one in certain situations. It teaches mostly good morals and values and is a generally good thing, but I think that it's best to just not bother with questions that we can't answer, let alone read a book that was written by people for answers that stem much farther back than people can comprehend. I'm sure the answer will come along the way or we will make our own answers to these questions.

P.S. I'm not an Athiest at all and I think fedoras are sort of strange. I'm a little Buddhist if you must know, anon.

Actually you're both right and wrong.
What seperates Islam and erh.. The Jewish? From Christianity is that the Jewish and the Muslims see Jesus as a prophet and the Christians as the son of god.
Also even though Christians see him as the son of god, he is, in Christianity, also a part of the "Tre-enige-gud" (I have no idea how you say it in english, but it translates somewhat to the god of three parts)
Which is god himself, Jesus and the holy spirit.
User avatar #160 to #122 - lizardonfire (07/25/2013) [-]
Makes sense, I think that was the main difference between Christians and Catholics (that and something with the saints and virgin Mary). From what I learned God is all those three at the same time but they are separate beings (or something like that). I think its trinity what you are talking about if im not wrong.

Well from I was taught in Sunday School, Jesus is indeed God in Human form. If I remember correctly, The Angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her that The Holy Spirit would come unto her and impregnate her with God's Son. But Jesus is Just God himself in the Form of a man, but still the Son of God. I was confused for awhile when they told me this.

I'm agnostic. I don't know and for the most part, don't much care if a god exists. If one exists, however, I don't think it focuses on Earth. It has an entire universe to keep from falling apart. It can only pay so much attention to one planet. Dude probably has a metric **** ton of other races to look at and **** .

Whenever it seems like there isn't a god or he has abandoned us, I figure it's more like we have to do things ourselves. Like children growing up, we must face our problems alone, our parents can't be there all the time.

Also, I'm curious to know what anyone else thinks god would look like.
I have 2 ideas. One, he is the universe itself. As infinite as space, as endless as time, like Sithis in the Elder Scrolls games. Either that, or some weird ******* formless, H.P Lovecraft style monstrosity with pieces of every race he created. That'd be cool.
User avatar #227 to #223 - chubbybastard (07/26/2013) [-]
I don't exactly know what to call myself I'm pretty much undecided on the idea of a god. I want to believe there is a god, but before I can believe I would like definite proof. I think that if there is a god he is much like the deist god where he created the universe with natural laws and allows us to determine our own fate with what he has given us.
User avatar #229 to #227 - Katzie (07/26/2013) [-]

User avatar #240 to #223 - odium (07/26/2013) [-]
Contrary to what a lot of people think, Science is probably the best way to figuring out what 'god' looks like. I threw on some quotations, because most likely god isn't any kind of anthropomorphic being. The real 'god' that is. God, if we look to quantum/atomic physics, and listen to Buddhism (The two are very similar), is just everything.

God is us, and everything around us. God would be akin to an unfathomable kind of energy. Energy is everything. Everything, in short, is god.

(This is assumption to a large extent. I'm not saying I know what God looks like, haha.)
