Well that's how True Blood started.

I haven't watched past the first season however, since they deviated from the original story just by adding Jessica and screwing up who made Eric. I assume it's gotten much worse.

Perhaps, but atleast it's still much better than The Vampire Diaries

which I obviously have never seen in my life

I have never read nor seen that series. Sounds like Twilight in a different wrapper.

Basically yes, only it being a non sparkling one and it being filled with even more teeny highschool drama.

One series I could REALLY see making it as on television is the Inheritance Cycle. Four really long books, changing POVs. The movie for Eragon is an abominaton to pop culture in general, but I think a well-casted series overlooked by Paolini could really shine and make up for it. Maybe even an animated series.

Eh, I read all of them, and though i liked them I didn't find them to be anything amazing.
And oh god **** Paoloni made it cheesy as hell.

mmmmm...No. Very few if any books could adapt to being a good story divided into 10-30 separate but exciting parts.

Harry potter was 7 books, and split into 8 three hour movies. Ever watched a 3 hour TV show?

Ever read a Harry Potter book? There's so much happening in one book, it's completely possible to break up the books into episodes.
Hell, each book could be a season

There is a lot in each book, but the story isn't laid out in such a way that an episodic presentation would be very good unless the story was changed wildly. and most people don't like it when you change a story while adapting it to a movie

I don't know, I can see it as a mini series possibly. They were considering making one after the first movie. The chapters close and open up as if an episode would
It wouldn't work now because there are movies out and almost everyone has read the book. I think it's possible though, without changing the story even

Maybe, but I doubt it. a story designed to work as a single unit doesn't often adapt well to being served in parts.
