Why is it people only ever want to hear the bad news?

I'm just saying that the news but a baby being born as it's headline news, whilst there's more important things happening. Remember Zimmerman-Trayvon? That was a teenage thug dying and that **** made national news.

It made international news too.

They'll put whatever sells the news best as the headline. There was a ********* over that story, people wanted details and to be in the loop so the news made that information the headline, saying 'look we have it read it here'. But when it comes to stuff like this, I'd much rather hear about a baby that will be king being born, to parents who are good people, than a child who died. I know it is a tragedy, but (and this isn't meant to sound as cruel as it does) in the big picture I don't see what makes the child's death 'important' news.

The problem is the monarchy doesn't do **** , so why should we care if a baby is being born that won't do **** . Then again the child dying didn't have any effect on my life. But they could be trying to report more important issues instead of telling us "Another human is here!", but people want to hear about a baby, so that's what they broadcast.

Hate on the monarchy fine, not everyone does though and you should respect that. Personally I don't see how the monarchy doesn't do **** . My CV looks better thanks the Philip, the Princes are in the armed forces, Kate is a milf, Charles had his wife killed so we get to have a conspiracy theory and the Queen does have the power to overturn anything that the government does, which admittedly she doesn't do often but the fact she can is something that comforts me. Like if at any point Cameron reaaally ***** up, Liz may just turn around and say nah. She doesn't often because Parliament is made of people the public chose, so really she'd be messing with what the people wanted in a roundabout way. Not to mention the tourists they bring in, and how that'll skyrocket when we have a new King, Queen and baby Prince.
And don't cry about 'but they cost taxes'. Why do you actually give a **** ? They'd find something else to get the same amount of tax money out of you and you know it, they've proved they can pluck anything out the air to tax, like chimney stacks or bedrooms. At the end of the day, the money is going one way or another. So enjoy that we have some cool people who get to represent us, I like the royal family.
