If it's his, yeah. But Kate's a good-looking girl and the good-looking girls are the ones you gotta keep an eye on or they wander.

>baby with penis
>result of a XY Chromosome pair
>sex male
>young male is also known as a boy
>baby is therefore a boy

if anyone cares LGBT view gender as what people associate themselfs as e.g man wants a sex change because he feels like he should have been born a woman therefore his gender is female

sex is the genetics, so what they are born as

I'm just going to copy and paste a comment of mine from yesterday about why people are making a big deal out of the royal baby, since it's a point I want to reinforce, though I'm not going to edit it so it's not going to be a direct reply to this post.

Because the news is always about people dying and **** , god forbid if people want to enjoy some good news for once. Good news is a rarity, so people would prefer to hear about it, rather than about another earthquake that killed a bunch of people in a poor country that they hear about every few months. Just let people lose their minds over something that isn't a tragedy for once, jesus.

But this isn't really "good news". This is "a wealthy family who was born into wealth that gets paid for by taxpayers has a baby just like 99.99% of the population can do" news, which I guess isn't news of tragedy, but it's not really something positive.

It's a silly thing to lose your mind over since there are genuinely good stories all over the world that get overshadowed. I'd rather them lose their minds over some guy who saved a classroom from getting shot or something than this mess of media exploitation and oversaturation.
User avatar #89 to #84 - drainbramage (07/24/2013) [-]
A future king was born, I'd say that's relatively good news. That's pretty much why it's such a big deal, and because it's of royal and common blood, that's why the royal wedding was a big deal as well, because it was a commoner becoming royalty.

I'm not neccassarily saying that I give two ***** , because I really don't, I don't care about the royal family, but a lot of people do, and they'd see it as good news, whether you do or not, and I don't like it when people **** on other people for something that they're excited about, just because the other person doesn't quite understand why.
User avatar #93 to #84 - thebrownydestroyer **User deleted account** (07/24/2013) [-]
They aren't just a wealthy family, they are the royal family. And it isn't everyday a future king is born so people are going to make a big deal out of it.

I thought it was funny when that one reporter said that it was so great she had a boy because a lot of princess struggle with having boys and she did the first time. I'm pretty sure she doesn't understand how chromosomes work.

>Implying the Royalty of England isn't important

I'm sorry, I'm Canadian so it's a huge part of our heritage and I for one am a proud royalist
User avatar #7 to #3 - thebestpieever (07/24/2013) [-]
Pretty weird to find a royalist now a days, especially outside of the UK. Then again we are hypocrite little ***** . We claim not to want them on charge but we celebrate their every move. I personally am a royalist, so I don't get why people complain but then celebrate everything they do. Just say you like them and be done with it.
User avatar #10 to #7 - captainfuckitall (07/24/2013) [-]
Quite so. I'm a Royalist because I honestly believe a Monarchy is the best political system to have. No rigged elections, no popularity contests, no media and corporation running things behind the scene. Just one man or woman, trained from birth to be the best ruler they can be, and their word is law (and their head gets chopped off by the commonwealth when they screw up)

That is a political system I can get behind
#11 to #3 - apocalypsepotato (07/24/2013) [-]
You shouldn't be.
Every month all the people in the state have to pay around £30m A MONTH.
Think about all the extra money people would have if there was no royalty?

They're just ordinary people who are so called 'ordained by god'
User avatar #13 to #11 - captainfuckitall (07/24/2013) [-]
That sounds like an obscene amount, can you find a link for that?

Furthermore, in my comment below I said I was a royalist because it's part of our national heritage, and that I believe the best type of leader is one raised from birth to be so (that also includes letting money go to the poor. "A king is not he who is served by a million, but he who SERVES a million). I do appreciate the English Royalty, but I am not head-over-heels for them.
#16 to #11 - Rascal (07/24/2013) [-]
The royals pay more in taxes from heir private estates than they receive in a year from the government. So before you factor in the tourism and merchandising they sell for the country they're already in the black.

Last time I bothered doing the numbers when someone brought this up it turned out that getting rid of the royal family would put the public fund back by about half a billion pounds.
User avatar #164 to #3 - HarvietheDinkle (07/25/2013) [-]
It actually isn't that important compared to protests in Turkey, revolutions in Egypt, and covered crises in Russia and China.

When the baby is close to being a monarch, it might be important. But right now I think the media is giving a disproportionate amount of coverage to someone who will only be a major influence in a few decades.

It's fine to be a royalist (hey - it helped in Spain right after Franco's death), but not when there are more important things to be aware about.

You do know that the Royal Family rules more than just England, right? Like the commonwealth, which Canada is a part of.

From what i understand the queen/king don't hold any power over there any more. So why the **** is this a big deal?
#145 to #139 - lordxdanswich (07/24/2013) [-]
It's not, which is a major part of the problem. They posed for pictures outside the hospital and the baby stuck it's hand out of the blanket, as most babies are wont to do. Almost every newspaper here ran an article then with the headline "New babies first royal wave"

Picture related, My reaction to the newspapers today (If you care)
User avatar #137 - Abra (07/24/2013) [-]
Not saying I agree with having them, but the amount of money the royal family brings into the country through tourism is massive.
