When I saw that on TV, I got really pissed, because that park is two roads away from me, and I missed them film it even though I go there every other day. They did a lot of filming near my area, and I didn't see them once!

It got better after the first episode, but I only watched the first two. I'll go finish it.

I didn't know there was an American version.
I'm not gonna try it.

What I really hate about the us version is the stereotypical fat guy who always thinks he is tough **** , talks big, but isn't actually funny.

Don't take this the wrong way guys..... But I've already wondered.. do Americans get/like our kind of humour? More in the sense, do you find it funny? This is very British comedy to say the least.

I can't speak for all of America, but I can say I enjoyed it.

I enjoy many British shows. and lucky for me, netfix has a few British shows to choose from. I wish they would add the UK "whose line is it anyway?" though.
User avatar #26 to #18 - myrtille ONLINE (07/24/2013) [-]
it's funny, just in a different way. i have to be in a certain mindset for all different types of comedy.

we love british humor, and even when we dont get the joke (political reference) we still laugh because it just sounds funny. there are good american shows, but never many good funny ones.
User avatar #78 to #18 - jofix (07/24/2013) [-]
I get it, and I think it's hilarious.
User avatar #86 to #18 - waterbottlemanboy (07/24/2013) [-]
I enjoy British humour, I love Inbetweeners a lot, but I hardly ever watch TV comedies, although when I was little I'd watch nothing but English TV, pretty much anything with John Cleese I'd watch it, everything Monty Python, Fawlty Towers was my favourite show. And my second favourite (next to Brian Regan) comedian has always been Eddie Izzard, I've always admired him. What do you think of American humour? Like right now all I can think of is Parks & Rec.
User avatar #101 to #18 - mrstalin (07/24/2013) [-]
I prefer it just because the humor actually needs a slight bit of thought and is more intelligent than our humor here, at least in my experience anyway.

They sure as hell can't make anything better/similar to our british comedies.
Mad skills with a mouse
User avatar #84 to #54 - waterbottlemanboy (07/24/2013) [-]
Well that's debatable, it's all preference, really.
#89 to #84 - magnetised (07/24/2013) [-]
I'm not judging anyone, just their comedies.
It's unfortunate that we get them over here in UK too on E4.
They're all the same; Some young people, living in apartments, going out and having sex with anyone and everyone, obsessed with shopping or partying or drinking and basically giving the Human Race a bad name.

Appealing to the lowest common denominator, in other words, doing something that everyone will laugh at. Absolute Stupidity.

"Don't Trust the B---- in apartment 23" is one. I haven't and don't want to watch it, but just from the advert, I can tell that it's a terrible show.

To me, Americans, most of them, can't make good comedies like Only Fools and Horses and I honestly don't think they ever will.

Pic by me and unrelated
User avatar #92 to #89 - waterbottlemanboy (07/24/2013) [-]
Okay, no, first off 23 was actually a good show in my opinion. Although it does seem like generic **** . Secondly that's not at all what they're like. You're just talking about ****** Fall NBC line-ups. And Fox. America has had great comedies. So has Britain, again, all preference and opinion.
User avatar #120 to #92 - magnetised (07/24/2013) [-]

I enjoy British humour quite a bit. I guess it's the content that attracts me. It's very dry and often makes use of heavy irony or sarcasm or even wordplay, as opposed to the American brand of humour, which relies on delivery a lot more (which isn't to say that it's worse.) I could very easily be talking out of my hairy musical arse here, but that's just what I've noticed in my preferences.
User avatar #32 to #21 - dedaluminus (07/24/2013) [-]
Not sure why, but I had a "hairy musical ass.jpg" in my reaction folder.

User avatar #23 to #18 - sonofposeidon (07/24/2013) [-]
I think for the most part we do, they go through a lot of the same **** American teens do so it's funny to see.
On another note, there is a disgusting wad of excrement MTV makes here in America based off of the UK version, but it''s rarely mentioned.

The gun

Both the gun and the band were named after the House from Dune, but I have to admit that it's a badass cannon. Here, have a picture of Vash and Alucard in each other's outfits and worlds.
