The 1980's costume has always been my favorite it sucks the live action X-Men movies everyone has a costume vaguely similar to the original design BUT NOT LOGAN!

Well the first movies of this new generation ( let's say it started with Blade or X-men) tended to have a realistic look or als realistic as possible, so you could imagine this in your own world. When they start to make things more comic-like I see a chance for Wolverine pictured in a costume. There could be so many good movies like Marvel Civil War, Deadpool kills the Marvel universe, Planet Hulk, World War Hulk and Old man Logan.

As much as I love the comics, even the old ones, I´m really happy Jackman refused the yellow/black costumes - I mean, the character was awesome, the stories too, but I never really managed to like the skintight superhero-suits. They look pretty damn embarrassing to me, but well - Opinions, I guess.

leave it to the 90s to add excessive leg belts

you have not seen any anime then have you?
User avatar #21 to #20 - nucularwar (07/21/2013) [-]
I have, but in American comics that was a very 90s thing

yeah your right.

The 2000 civilian costume is the best one imo. All the yellow ones just look so stupid. If he had that in the live action movie he'd be the laughing stock of it rather than the awesome guy.

Honestly my favorite costume for Wolverine is the Evolution one, because when I was a kid I saw X-men Evolution all the freaking time.

I'm not sure if a shirt and jeans count as a costume
User avatar #3 to #2 - zaiopeperse (07/20/2013) [-]
I haven't seen the wolverine but if he was out there "wolverining" I'd say that's a superhero costume in my books
User avatar #4 to #3 - fuzzyballs (07/20/2013) [-]
but doesn't "costume" imply hidden identity?
User avatar #17 to #4 - corso (07/21/2013) [-]
Wolverine doesn't even know who he really is. Why does it matter if other people do?
User avatar #5 to #4 - zaiopeperse (07/21/2013) [-]
It does imply that but there's a lot of costumes out there that don't or shouldn't hide identities. Like superman, which is the only other one I can think of at the moment (damn me and my forgetfulness)
User avatar #6 to #5 - fuzzyballs (07/21/2013) [-]
and still only a handful of people know superman is clark kent
I don't like talking to you, don't bother replying
User avatar #7 to #6 - zaiopeperse (07/21/2013) [-]
But don't you remember me? We've had such fun before. I just realized it was you but **** , fuzzyballs, it's been a while

I have never been a great fan of the X-Men series but this post has reminded me so much of how much detail, thought, and creativity goes into this process (character development) that I now have a newfound respect for Wolverine as a character.

The main reason I didn't like "Wolverine: Origins" is because of what they did to "Deadpool" at the end. I was in ******* shock.

All that aside, thank you for this informative post.

User avatar #27 to #26 - dumbasshunter (07/21/2013) [-]
also, the reason the first costume had whiskers, was because he was originally supposed to be called "the badger"
