No, you're wrong. Campus's and campus' are literally the exact same thing. If the word ends with "s" and is showing possession, then you don't have to include a "s" after the apostrophe, but you can if you want to.

Nah, he is right. Campus' would mean something belongs to multiple "campu". My name ends with an S, and I always spell it like "Campus's". English teachers have also always told me that is how it is supposed to be done.

actually the plural is campi, and campus' or campus's are the same thing when showing possession. It's the same rule with every word ending in s.
