If anyone's in the mood for lulz, Pete Conrad's words were: "Oooh, is that soft and queasy."
User avatar #212 to #3 - anthonyh (07/17/2013) [-]
No they weren't. That's how he described stepping onto the moon. His first words were "Whoopee! Man, that may have been a small one for Neil, but that's a long one for me.", referring to him being short.

I would like to make a point about what astronauts say being scripted. Pete doesn't prove scripting to not have always happened because what he said was in fact scripted, by he and his friends that he placed bets with ofcourse. ha!

The restaurants in kitchen nightmares were going to be shut down anyway, so it's more like "40% of those places recovered from failure"
User avatar #69 to #14 - mrbuu (07/17/2013) [-]
sold or shut down. that means some of them or even majority of that 60% sold. I could be 20% of the restaurants closed down after being featured.

***** what the **** are you trying to say?
User avatar #132 to #89 - coldactill (07/17/2013) [-]
Many of the 60 percent that were sold instead of shut down would've become successful under new ownership, Is what the ***** was trying to say

How high do you have to be that a bad tasting burger makes you re-evaluate your life??

Maybe he liked that before and when he discovered that it tasted bad he realized that something was wrong. Maybe.

Actually for the Latin one, the ending "us" is masculine, so it implies that all old ladies are hermaphrodites...

and that would be the name of the person in greek mythology where that came from!

Pic related: 2nd Century Roman replica of greek sculpture of the aforementioned goddess/creature/thingy. Found in the Louvre.

you should go free a country; gas is cheaper afterwards.

yea but here in America we got places to go to unlike boring UK... do you expect us to walk to McDonalds? Or WALK in general?
User avatar #34 to #27 - durkadurka (07/17/2013) [-]
We drive a lot more here in the US. If you're not in a city, things are much more spread out. Tomorrow I'm driving over 500 miles. Should take all day and several tanks of gas.
User avatar #57 to #34 - moshimoshi (07/17/2013) [-]
I drove 500 miles yesterday. 10 hours and 10.5 gallons of diesel. Feelsgoodman.

I always thought we drove more because there was more distance between things...
User avatar #50 to #49 - yetaxaa (07/17/2013) [-]
yes that would be correct.
Places like the UK are so dense and compact that car journeys aren't anywhere near as long
from what I gather talking to Americans on the internet at least
my family don't even own a car, and it's rare that we actually need one
User avatar #62 to #50 - durkadurka (07/17/2013) [-]
I once knew a guy who had a friend come from overseas. This friend wanted to hop into a car and drive to Vegas. She didn't understand how vast that distance really was (east to west coast).

Because it's made from the blood and crushed dreams of 12 year old girls.
User avatar #100 to #56 - Nitsuin (07/17/2013) [-]
Because it is a necessity and it does require a bit more work to create than most other liquids (Including the containers for them) Also the fact that many printers are proprietary and will only take one type of cartridge so as to keep others from stealing their repeated sales. Which also allows for them to spike the prices on the ink. Also, in most situations a person will only need to buy a printer once so to keep themselves in business they do as I mention previously.
User avatar #101 to #100 - Nitsuin (07/17/2013) [-]

In that last picture, the woman who married to both the people who suicided married five other people and had driven all of them into despair.

‘She’s a tyrant,’ says prison officer John Johnson, one of her surviving spouses.
‘One day she hates you and one day she loves you and the next day she hates you again. You either get out or you top yourself. I guess I’m lucky to be alive.’
she had already been married before when she met the first person who suicided.
He managed an apartment block in Jasper County, South Carolina, and she was his boss’s daughter.
