Looks like your grandfather was an SS-Obersturmfuhrer. Senior storm unit leader in English.

His right collar tab looks like an SS Waffen Grenadier division tab - 2nd Pattern.

My bad, meant to say SS-Obersturmbannfuhrer. Makes a big difference.

My Grandma was in Dahau (or however you spell it) because my Great Grandfather pissed of Hitler so much by publicly accusing him of being a loser and an idiot. He stated that he would destroy Germany, so my whole family was declared to be hunted down. Only some escaped to refuge in Italy. btw he was not a Jew or Gypsy or anything just a badass German who knew what Hitler truly was.
#54 to #51 - unfitninjuh (07/17/2013) [-]
Props to your Great Grandfather, he has some major balls
User avatar #74 to #51 - reyden (07/17/2013) [-]
my grandfather did something similar on a smaller scale. Noriega, a dictator, was taking over panama and my grandpa refused to join him with a big **** you and hid away in a friend's car to escape until Noriega was taken down by america.

Not all metals conduct electricity.
User avatar #29 to #23 - RequieminMortis (07/17/2013) [-]
Uh, yes, all metals do conduct electricity. In fact they're the only elements that normally conduct electricity.

Mercury is non-conductive.
User avatar #32 to #30 - dachief (07/17/2013) [-]
Mercury is conductive, though. It's used in older thermostats to complete the switching circuit when the temperature rises.

Only thing I found disappointing was the fact that the two main angels (Michael and I forget the other one) were Seraph. They were supposed t have six wings, not two.

No, it's not. It's actually a rather good conductor.

#37 to #34 - RequieminMortis (07/17/2013) [-]
Yea, I don't know what the **** he was teaching you, but electrical conductivity is pretty much a requirement for an element to be considered a metal.

He said it was a semi-metal and made me stand out in the hallway for correcting him, saying it did conduct electricity and was infact a metal.
