Last time this was posted, everyone in the comment section thought they were extremely smart by pointing out that light is a physical thing and darkness is the absence of a physical thing.

It was the most cringe worthy thing ever. People seem to abandon the ability to take a joke when they can try and act smart for a second.

Darkness is the absence of light. Which means Darkness is nothing. Nothing is faster than light.

Is that why black people are so fast?
User avatar #71 - lizardnigger (07/16/2013) [-]
because darkness is black

I was creating a long detailed scientific explanation about why this quote is BS with a picture of sheldon cooper at the image.... but I found out I had diarrhea half way through writing it and deleted it to write this.

I'm pretty sure that a picture of the diarrhea would be better than the picture of sheldon cooper.

Just because it's a nice sounding metaphor doesn't mean it means anything. It's poetry or something.

"If light travels so fast, how come it's never caught a ninja?"

That's like saying the cameraman at the end of a race line won because he was there first.

Though darkness is just the absence of light, it's not something that moves from place to place making everything dark.

Wow, aren't you so smart. You must be proud.

I read Star Wars EU novels. In them, there is always this Jedi's code of this and that. Basically, they are all about the Light Side of the Force, sworn to beat the SIth and their worship of the Dark Side of the Force. I thought, hey, its must be the Jedi's fault too, since, if the Light shone at its most brightest, the Darkness of the shadow would be the deepest.

The only thing that travels faster than light i bad news.

-I think this is from The Hitchhikers Guide. Im not sure. I probably havent even quoted it correctly, but still, its a better quote.
