Although it may not be as physically addictive as other drugs it is sure as **** habit forming and you can get mild withdrawal if you quit cold turkey after smoking for a couple years. I'm not saying weed is horrible or anything but it's not nearly as harmless as people seem to think it is.

What people fail to realise is this, weed is not CHEMICALLY addictive. That means you don't get actually get addicted to the drug itself, but the feeling it gives you. This works in the same way that you can get addicted to sugar and sex (or masturbation).

i was habitually addicted to it for 2 years, i had to smoke everyday. it made me really lazy and i honestly just didnt give a **** about anything but my friends and relationships, but all goals and ambitions disappeared. if i had just used it moderately i wouldnt have been in such a ****** situation. still the best drug to do if youre low on cash and have alot of free time.

Me too man. Smoked from grade 9 till grade 12. Quit second half of grade 12, got my grades way up and now I"m going to uni this fall. I'll smoke occasionally now but I have to be careful not to return to old habits. I'll probably quit for good after this summer. I find that if I'm pursuing a goal or working towards something than I don't even really feel like smoking. I'm hoping that university life will keep me busy enough that I won't have time to smoke.

My own personal problem with weed is that for me, it makes doing nothing so goddamn satisfying when it really shouldn't be. I've known a lot of people that just sort of smoke weed to the point that it's how they identify themselves because it's their only real hobby. That being said, I did have a lot of fun with weed and I'm not against it. I just consider it a crutch or a weekend thing, much like liquor. It's certainly not beneficial to a healthy life. Sorry for rambling. I tend to do that when I type.

i agree completely, if it werent for me foolishly overusing it no harm would have been done. i too am starting college this fall so i basically promised myself i wouldnt smoke so not to risk falling into a slump, plus im trying to fix my relationship with my parents and that seemed like a pretty good place to start. and no worries bro i enjoy reading and i also write short novels when i reply. theres just way too much to be said

As a guy who smoked for 2 years straight and then quit cold turkey I can confirm this. Felt like **** for the first month or so, but after like 2 months I started feeling way healthier.
My advice for anyone considering smoking weed, either don't do it or only smoke once every couple of weeks. Never use it habitually it gets real hard to quit.

It's not habit forming, not anymore than anything some could get dependent on, but you can get dependent on anything at all.

Yeah, I'm addicted to food. I literally cannot go without it for even a day. It's pretty sad.

While weed itself isn't habit forming, the process/action of smoking constantly is. If every day you smoke a joint at 4:20 pm, then one day 420 comes around and you dont smoke, you're gonna have cravings to smoke.

Yes. And seeing the flow of thumbs, it seems half you people have no clue how marijuana works. Getting physically addicted to marijuana is incredibly difficult. But people get addicted to the sensation.

The best way to put it: Marijuana is addictive the same way the internet is addictive.

This is a good shadowed set of scenes in this film, you should upload all the other drugs he gets hooked on. The film is "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story", it's basically a parody of the life of a typical famous song writer/ band member/ music person.

Lots of people keep saying how it is kinda habit forming. The thing to remember this was set a long time in the past so they didn't know any better anyway.
