User avatar #52 to #2 - deathstare (07/14/2013) [-]
There is such a thing as fast travel.
Consider the following.
1) When you fast travel in game, time also travels with you, this means that you were zoned out while traveling, and when you reach your destination, you don't know how you got there.
2) When driving a car to a location, you sometimes also zone out. You can't remember the route you took, but you can remember where you left from and now you are here.

TL;DR Fast travel is not instant teleportation, it's just you zoning out/

I think youre missing the joke..is that its not actually that hot...other places are twice or three times as hot, but because we are british it feels like we're melting. But eh yeah, thats a good try, and Im not "so broke I cant afford AC" Scotland is freezing 80% of the time, why would you bother buying AC.

It's been between 37*C and 50*C throughout most of the Southwest since we've been hit by a nasty heatwave. It's calmed down some where I live in the SF Bay as it's only 29*C here at the moment, but it's still pretty bad throughout the area and the past few days it's been around 35*C.

User avatar #60 to #47 - SlipknotNine (07/14/2013) [-]
There is, thats why Canadians where short sleeve shirts in 6 degrees C. Because they're accustomed to it.
User avatar #66 to #60 - fukkendragonite (07/14/2013) [-]
Exactly. I came back from a holiday in Mexico last week and it didn't feel all that hot here when I got back. You do become accustomed to it.

I am feeling it now though in Derby. Or 'Derbados' as it's been known for the past week
User avatar #165 to #66 - drdonothing (07/15/2013) [-]
"derbados" i dont know why that made me laugh so much.
User avatar #61 to #60 - vatra (07/14/2013) [-]
It's easier to get accustomed to cold than heat. And honestly 6 Celsius isn't that cold that's 42 Fahrenheit. Shorts are good for that temperature.
#41 to #40 - nothesecondone (07/14/2013) [-]
Not really though. The only time I am ever used to the heat is when I had mandatory summer runs for cross country and getting used to the heat was miserable. And once you finally got used to the heat, winter was too cold even though it never snowed. So for me it just became a cycle of always trying to get used to the weather while feeling like **** .
