We don't do **** about it in Australia.
The amount of times I get flipped off when I'm patrolling on foot is ridiculous but I've gotten used to it. That being said, I've helped hundreds of people in my 2 years as a constable and having others treat me like that simply because they think I'm some deadbeat cop kind of hurts...
All these cops that manhandle and abuse the public have probably just gotten to the point where they're had enough. I hope to never get to that point but I suppose that's just what life does to people.
Pic semi-related.

I like the police, don't you worry.
Even if some are assholes, it's you guys that are keeping me from getting stabbed in the night and fining my occasionally drunk ass neighbours.

All the best. My brother is with a female copper and apparently she got king hit out on the town one night (in uniform) and had to have a metal plate put in her head. She's still a copper

Cheers, and props to her. It's not easy being a female cop. We have to act strong and confidant while understanding that we're simply not built to take on men twice our size.
