Well what the **** else do you expect to happen? Do you want them to wait until you are finished doing the dishes and empty the sink water before they put the dirty plate next to the sink for it to be cleaned later?

Yes
For me it's more the problem of people pouring soda, milk, and coffee into the sink that is currently filled with soapy water.

I feel like an asshole when someone is washing dishes and I put more beside them.

It's a thing here in New Zealand and Australia meaning "Returned Services association", pretty much a kitchen, bar and stuff like that for returned service men and women from world wars, Iraq, Afghanistan wars and also members sign up too.

oh wow, that sounds like a neat place. yea...the river side is nothing but a over priced red lobster with a hotel. alot of people eat there for some reason =/ but hey it a job!

Yeah, I'm quite young and some people make fun of me for it, I just say "Thanks to this job I've raised over $600 to go over to America with." They shut up quite quick. And my friends mum is my boss, and she's a lovely lady.

really? people make fun of other people for having a job in Aus? over here in the US (well florida at least) its the opposite, people congratulate everyone that has a job because they are so rare. btw how did you like your stay in the states?

Thank you very much, let's just hope they aren't as bad as I read of them on here. But I know they won't.
User avatar #31 to #30 - josephkirk (07/11/2013) [-]
as bad as you read? what did you read about it? (also if you are coming all the way here to Florida just to go to Orlando, i recommend you take a stop by Daytona Beach for at least a day)

Thanks for the tip, just people writing about their encounters with an arrogant american,k but I guess arrogant people are everywhere.
User avatar #33 to #32 - josephkirk (07/11/2013) [-]
yea...i cant make any guarantees on the people in Orlando because its a huge tourist attraction, but the locals are friendly. usually the arrogant people are from up north and everyone down below the Mason Dixon line will give you the famed southern hospitality

Thanks man, just got back from a shift. One thing I hate about working in a kitchen, is the stench of food on your clothes and in your hair.
User avatar #35 to #34 - josephkirk (07/11/2013) [-]
ahhh i know what you mean man, when i get home i am covered in soap water, other peoples food, and grease/oil...that and running dishes is hell on your shoes. my shoes are trying to talk to me =/ the sole of the shoe is starting to tear away from the rest of it
