Because of you I am actually becoming more motivated to try a new language, I like you, I won't shoot you. Yet.
User avatar #4 to #2 - schnizel (07/09/2013) [-]
Try German, is gut
#101 to #4 - twitchissexy (07/10/2013) [-]
To anon: Thank you, I actually will look into that, thank you.
To schnizel: That is actually the first language I picked out of the choices!

I'm learning French and German, and dabbling in Russian cause I'm taking a holiday there in November.

If you want to learn a language in an awesome way, try Michel Thomas. Rather than learning word lists like traditional language learning, you learn to speak the language and syntax and grammar become second nature rather than abstract rules stored in your head.

Only problem is it tends to top out rather early in the language, so it's a course that lasts you a couple months rather than a couple years.

this post has more favorites than thumbs... what
User avatar #37 to #17 - suspectcheddars (07/09/2013) [-]
I know, I guess people want to use it but not give a thumb but I just uploaded it because I thought it was really useful so it doesn't bother me
User avatar #68 to #37 - Cello (07/09/2013) [-]
It's helpful, but not funny. Think of these number as people thanking you but not giving you a blowjob for it.
#18 - versavicetwo (07/09/2013) [-]
Where's funnyjunk listed?
User avatar #16 to #10 - tredbear (07/09/2013) [-]

please man.

You need to login to view this link

I use it once in a while. "Spins" the lettering around... kind of catchy.

#48 - Holyshizznips (07/09/2013) [-]

#38 - liffian (07/09/2013) [-]
Is there one for sign language?
User avatar #39 to #38 - suspectcheddars (07/09/2013) [-]
are you looking for words or the alphabet?
User avatar #40 to #39 - liffian (07/09/2013) [-]
Words. Either American or English, I'm not fussed which
#45 to #40 - Rascal (07/09/2013) [-]
That's a bad way to go about it. Sign language is different from normal languages, it's easy to think your hand is positioned right but for it to look wonky to someone else. I really suggest getting a teacher for that.
User avatar #46 to #45 - liffian (07/09/2013) [-]
Very true but I'd rather have a vague idea and a stutter than no clue what-so-ever.
Plus you know, to get a teacher you need money.
#47 to #46 - Rascal (07/09/2013) [-]
Fair enough, I guess. My college had it for an elective, which was nice, but I had to get up way to early for that. If you're in school you might want to check about that for the fall semester.
#56 - breastsemen (07/09/2013) [-]
What about vsauce? thats cool sometimes.
User avatar #27 - tabarzins (07/09/2013) [-]

Thanks, I've been trying to get into programing, but i couldn't find a good site/forum where i could learn. Now i can try and learn it
User avatar #29 - MitsukiOokami (07/09/2013) [-]
livemocha, the language program, is actually not very good. It's a lot more useful for people who are trying to relearn or catch up on a language...
User avatar #3 - whiplasher (07/09/2013) [-]
This is a good place to learn norwegian, if any of you are interested!
You need to login to view this link
User avatar #6 to #3 - odonnell (07/09/2013) [-]
Do you need to pay? I see it says "Free Trial".
Other than that, the trailer looked good, but im guessing that'll only be for the account you pay for?
User avatar #7 to #6 - whiplasher (07/09/2013) [-]
Nope, I didn't pay a thing! At the end of the registration though, it does show you a scam-like ad. Just skip it. Won't bother you later!

And the lessons are pretty darn good, easy to learn!
User avatar #105 - blurpleman (09/16/2013) [-]
I love Badassoftheweek.
User avatar #100 - thedudeistheman (07/10/2013) [-]
I very much appreciate this. This alone has given that final push to re-start coding again. I was trying Python, but always got sidetracked, and had been meaning to start again. I'm going through HTML now, which I have some experience with, but still, this post has given me that push. Thanks, Mr. Cheddars.
User avatar #97 - Shaleros (07/09/2013) [-]
I've actually already learned Baic Music Theory and Basic HTML Coding because of this so far.
User avatar #98 to #97 - Shaleros (07/09/2013) [-]
