What I find funny is that in dark souls you deal with drakes which are similar in size to skyrim....dragons are the size of the empire state building haha

Normally you would be right but only drakes in Nirn have four legs. Wyverns in skyrim are just non-immortal weaker "dragons". Also there are many definitions of dragons and wyverns and they share more in common with typical dragons not wyverns. Wikipedia shows many two legged dragons long before the European four legged dragons.

Dragons in Skyrim are immortal.

It's just a phoenix immortality though. If a dragon dies without it's soul being absorbed than the game never counts it as kill and will respawn it some time after it's body disappears. Disable your soul absorption and try it on a boss dragon.

Yes. There's also a mod that does it. You can even glitch the game during the dragonborn questline so you never absorb a soul again (but if you do that than what's-his-face absorbs it instead of you everytime so the dragon still disappears...)

well seeing as every creature in skyrim is four limbed, i dont think this is true. Evolutionarily they would have arisen from the same stock and thus not have magically sprouted an extra set of limbs.

dragons are the children of Akatosh who is an Aedra (used to be a daedra but sacrificed his rule over his plane/planet because each plane is really another planet so now it is a barren wasteland of a place they do this so they can become the great gods of Nirn so his children are the dragons and his firstborn was Alduin)

but even the daedra and atronauchs are 4 limbed. So even if they didn't evolve, their creators were four limbed and made them in their image.

I understand that this is probably a dumb thought.

But have you ever wondered if Dragons actually existed? Besides the idea of dinosaurs, how is it that almost EVERY culture for ages have some sort of idea of a dragon. Some-sort of large, scaly, lizardlike being with immense power. Some depict it with 4 legs and 2 wings, others with two legs and wings, or even just a large snake with horns. Is it really weird to think that some time ago humans have seen a dragon, but over the ages have forgotten what it really looks like? Or even that maybe there were different species that adapted/evolved over the world?

Yes, there's the Komodo dragon, and yes I sound like some guy from the history channel. But speculate that idea for me.

There's no official definition like that, since it all depends on the series, mythology, whatever.
Yes, wyverns almost always only have one pair of legs and a pair of wings, but most of the time, they look more snake-like and often don't have fire-breathing abilities.
Dragons can have four limbs, six limbs, or even just a pair of wings. It all depends on the culture, author or artist behind it.

I was just running up a mountani on Shadowmere, then I hit an invisible wall so I turn around and start running, I was going a bit too fast so he just essentially jumped off and after a few hundred foot drop, he died. I almost feel bad.

Oh I know, I've done that multiple times. The first time I did it was at one of the dragon peaks/mountains. I flung him off the side, his head collided with a tree, and he continued to fly along as he spun at a stupidly fast rate. Also while I was going through Blackreach (That stupid crimson nirnroot place) I had to fight a Dwarven Centurion. Just before I killed him, He spun his hammer at me horizontally, then I hit him with my sword, killed him, and then he just spun around until he fell over and hit the ground.

You know that troll that chases you up High Hrothgar? Have him chase you to the very top of the mountain, as high as he can get. Then, position him just right so he's facing off the highest ledge. Then Fus him off, and see how long it takes him to land, and see how far from the mountain he is. It's pretty great.
If you have a computer, you can also go cheesewheel bowling.

Heh, I might do that if he respawns. But that troll wasn't even a challenge for me. i did alot of side quests so my main combat skills were up. Well, main for me. I'm doing a female orc warrior. She usually only uses two handed weapons, just rushes in and kills everything but as I progressed through I'm making her occasionally go stealthy in dungeons to easily eliminate Draugr and such. To make it extra fun, I'm playing on master difficulty (Legendary just raises their health to high rather than actually increasing the difficulty beyond master) and just to show the world how attractive female orcs can be, I never put a helmet on her. c:
