Actually zombies are defined a being that is dead, brought back to life by any means (This includes, disease, magic and bad writing)
After that they can do anything as zombie are not solely confined horror genre. We've had zombies that have sex, talk, walk away from eating, and etc.

The ones that do try to eat people do so because the disease has damaged the frontal lobe. Or because magic, bad writing, and etc. Don't need to explain **** .

Yes we all know they are infected not zombies, but the movie gives the feel of the zombie film hence, who cares what we call it.

They are zombies. There is more than just one kind of zombie. A zombie is something that comes back from the dead and in 28 days later they say that a person is dead before he transforms and becomes infected
User avatar #200 to #184 - majortomcomics (07/08/2013) [-]
No they don't die before they become infected they are still alive.
User avatar #206 to #200 - mads (07/08/2013) [-]
There is a part in the film when one of them gets hit by a car and dies. Then comes back to life. I studied the film in detail.
User avatar #221 to #206 - majortomcomics (07/09/2013) [-]
Read. In the comics it clarifies that they are still living. That tends to be the difference between zombies and infected.
User avatar #208 to #206 - majortomcomics (07/08/2013) [-]
Not in most cases, however. In the film, they are still conscious. It's like the headcrab deal. They are alive but overwhelmed/controlled.
User avatar #176 to #133 - shadowmaul (07/08/2013) [-]
I agree sorta with wikit they arent zombies since a gun shot to the stomach or something kills them and if im not mistaken zombies can only die from headshots
User avatar #175 to #133 - nucularwar ONLINE (07/08/2013) [-]
Wrong, zombies are they most common hostile mob. They burn in sunlight and sometimes carry objects or wear armor.

Originally zombies were people who raised from the ground, and epidemic zombie apocalypse did not come around for man years later.

Well, the purpose of WD is to do things most zombie films don't do. Like have the characters establish a civilization. Hence the reason why they don't focus on how this started or why. The whole "Waking up from a coma" thing was the best option to skip straight to the apocalypse.

It also allows fans to create theories that the entire story is just one big coma dream.

I never really want to watch Horror Movies or something. I'm the kind of person who can only play zombie games with someone. Never Solo.
And another gif for you with the same guy having Austin in it, for you.

I'm a Horror geek. I watch anything that's Horror, even though i haven't got scared since i was 8. The movies are just interesting to watch, i would like one that's good enough to scare the **** out of me though. And thank you
#199 to #197 - katypower (07/08/2013) [-]
Really, I hate jump scares, therefore horror games with people can either spot the zombie (or thing) behind me before I turn around and freak the **** out.
Or I can ask them to open the door and go in first...As they are more tolerant to jump scares then I am.
User avatar #201 to #199 - redneckraider (07/08/2013) [-]
It's exciting, sure I'm like " **** this" at first, but it's fun. Some games get me, for the same reason you just mentioned. I'll turn around and there will be somethin' in my face, and i jump. I'm tolerant of them, but to me it makes the game (or movie) more fun to play.
#204 to #201 - katypower (07/08/2013) [-]
I enjoy Carnage....
That's why the only Zombie series that I can take the initiative (As in, go in the door first) is Left 4 Dead... If I'm with someone who can cover my ass. Again, in L4D, I'm the Idiot who ''Cr0wns'' the witch with a Shotgun.
Gif related, Highschool of the Dead. Anime series with zombies and **** .

We don't watch that for thee acting.

We watch it for the storyline, character development, kickass zombie makeup and the glorious violence.

But all those reason are superfluos compared to Daryl ************* Dixon.
User avatar #125 to #121 - amuro (07/08/2013) [-]
then, read the comic. You can read in 10 minutes or less what you see in a TV show for an hour.

Walking Dead comics started in 2003, 28 Days Later came out in 2002. Seems like the writer for the Walking Dead may have been inspired by this movie.... hm..
#181 to #120 - slugnugget (07/08/2013) [-]
That first walking dead issue came out in October of 2003. 28 Days Later was released in the States in June of 2003.

I actually think the being infected concept is scarier than the undead concept. Infection, they are still conscious, they still have their survival instincts, and , in the case of Headcrab zombies, are ******* terrified/tormented by their situation. Like, killing a Headcrab Harry (Not the FJer) is like, putting it out of it's misery. And their screams, are just. Blah.

how to easy understand the diffrence of zombie vs rage virus

zom·bie
by definition

"A supernatural power or spell that according to voodoo belief can enter into and reanimate a corpse"

but rage-virus just dont' kill the host they just infect the host, kinda like a cold but that make you into a raging killing machine that can use tools

rage-virus was also based on zombiefication but they wanted a more dangerous and action filled one for their movie's, also by that they not dead they also give people a hope for a cure . more or less you can call it zombificaiton 2.0

I can't blame you if you only watched "the walking dead" as that serie is one that is full of plot holes that it brings shame to post apocolyptic gener, than I can understand the easy confusion
