But what about the "after one year" thing? That's saying after you've already stopped working for them.

you will get fired from the job you get within a 50 mile radius in that year.

you can also get sued, most of those are actually pretty standard agreements you sign

Had to sign one a non-compete form when I worked for PetSmart. Legit.

... how big a problem was it for ******* petsmart?
are people just opening up pet supply stores all over the place or something

Don't know about that guy, but I know they use it for the dog trainers in particular. They send their trainers off to a little session to show em how to do the basics, so they don't want their employees working for another business that offers dog training services when PetSmart paid to train said employee.

I applied to be a PetSmart trainer a couple years back, but since I also train service dogs I couldn't comply with the non-compete clause on the contract unless I stopped (and since that makes a whole lot more money than PetSmart trainers make, why the heck would I?).

Its annoying but its at the companies discretion I worked at an army navy store that had me sign one.

Army navy? Do you mean it's an army navy thing like overlapping? Just curious not moaning or anything

Its kind of used military surplus but I mostly handled new in box stock.

You would have stuff like old helmets bayonets and kevlar vests that had the kevlar taken out,.
