#184 to #48 - eddymolly (07/06/2013) [-]
True, he is the manliest, but my favorite is still Tom Welling from Smallville, just because to me Smallville is the most interesting Superman. Its the only one i;ve really found that watchable, just because its not just about Superman.
User avatar #192 to #184 - mattimeon (07/06/2013) [-]
I liked the show, I just thought Superman/Clark Kent was too naive. Made it to the eighth season and had to stop.
User avatar #197 to #192 - eddymolly (07/06/2013) [-]
Yeah, if it was just Clarke it wouldn't really have been watchable, it's all the other characters that really make it good, his friends, other superheroes etc.

Yeah, its quite long, but if you got to 8 you may as well get to the end, its pretty good. Not so much the last episode in particular, but the wrapping up of the story is good

pointless info follows

- Henry Cavill said that the most difficult part of making the movie was definitely his two shirtless scenes. He had been training for months prior to filming began but for his shirtless scenes, he specially went on extremely difficult calorie restriction diet and training regime that cut his calorie intake from 5000 to near 1500 for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks he reached a body fat level of just 3% which is the level achieved by professional body-builders during competitions. Henry said this was done because he wanted to make his abs as pronounced and his muscles as defined as humanly possible to create the best possible Superman physique. Cavill returned to a more manageable routine after the scenes were shot but felt his effort was rewarded when audiences and critics alike praised his physique for the true embodiment of what Superman would look like. After he had shot his shirtless scenes, director Zack Snyder gave him a tub of ice cream and pizza to reward him for his Herculean effort for the shirtless scenes.

The more you know!
#20 to #16 - anon (07/06/2013) [-]
Only thing wrong is that he overestimated, that's more like 7-9% body fat. 3% is way too little for the body over an extended period of time (hence bodybuilders only getting and maintaining it maybe a week or a half before competitions), and looks more vascular/defined.

Superman couldn't **** any mortal woman (more than once.) Think about it: Even post-crisis, this ************ can move a planet. Either he lets loose and enjoys himself, in which case the woman would end up a bloody pulp, or he holds back, and holding back that much super strength/speed would lead to totally unsatisfying sex. Also, Superman doesn't even feel bullets bouncing off him, so how much pressure would it take to make his super-cock happy? More than Lois Lane can provide, I'm sure. (Also I'm pretty sure that his semen would shoot out with the force of a sniper rifle.)

The better alternative: Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman is durable enough that she took a solid punch from Superman in one of those "Superman is evil alternate universe" comics and kept on fighting. Her vagina muscles, like the rest of her muscles, are probably super strong and can provide him a pleasing pressure. She has a hot, (and completely canon,) bondage fetish. If superman pulled her hair or slapped her ass during sex, it wouldn't lead to her being scalped or having her thigh-bone shoot out her knee. And, if she did get pregnant, she would be able to carry the baby without it tearing out of her womb the first time it had an unconscious movement with super strength.

Kryptonian condom with a hole in it, alows him to possibly concieve a child with Lois Lane, and his cum shot no longer has the force of a shotgun blast
User avatar #70 to #61 - dedaluminus (07/06/2013) [-]
Assuming a kryptonian dickwrapper somehow made it to earth, and had a hole in it, why wouldn't that just focus the semen down into a pinpoint stream moving at three times the speed of sound?
User avatar #76 to #70 - bowties (07/06/2013) [-]
To answer the first question, Jor-El, being the smart and awesome father that he is, would obviously have condoms packed away for him on Superman's rocket (he is a responsible parent who wants his son Kal-El to practice safe sex.)

You make a good point about Superman's semen, but I was assuming that a Kryptonian condom would weaken everything about Superman's semen, even if it did have a hole in it, but now thinking about it, you are probably right

congratulations, you are the 99%

People that haven't read him immediately assume he's boring because he was made incredibly powerful, far from the most powerful beings in the DCU (hell, even Martian Manhunter is stronger), and that's all they know and care about the character. People prefer Batman because he's human and all plebs will side with him in a fight between the two because man wins against god yey for us, even if it's between a man that can move planets and a ninja. A tactically genius ninja and close to the peak of humanity, mind you, but still just human.

Okay, I'm not ranting anymore. It's your opinion. I have mine. Good day

I loved Man of Steel

the only problems I had with it were: Superman's suit (im not saying bring back the red overpants, but make the suit a lighter blue, and have some sort of red belt, like his New 52 suit)
And I also didn't care for the lack of Clark Kent, I don't know why, but it just bugged me that he was just Superman the entire time

still, its like he has no limits when it comes to power. Green lantern's power ring uses willpower which there is a limit to. Superman can punch a guy to to smithereens no problem and doesn't he age super slow?

Superman's stories are written as such that Superman's power isn't even the issue. They are more about the trials of being an alien/different, being a superhero, being really powerful and how to use that power, how people react to that power, having the weight of the entire world on your shoulders, etc.

A good Superman story tackles the social and moral issues that are bound to arise when you are basically a living god and the impact of your decisions as a superbeing on those around you, especially those you care about most.

Also, most of the enemies Superman has to fight can beat the living **** out of him. Look up Doomsday, Parasite, Darkseid, Metallo, Bizarro, and Mongul. Others, like Lex Luthor and Brainiac, have outsmarted Superman, often tricking him into defeating himself or by having two schemes going at once, one that Superman will foil that they don't actually care about, and one they actually wanted to primarily accomplish.

Henry Cavill (this superman) is such a genuinely nice guy, he was pretty chubby when he was a kid and got picked on which made him feel useless, so he got in incredible shape in hopes that he could star in a film as a superhero when he got older; and he's very polite to everyone because he hates bullies and wants to be the exact opposite of one.
