you do realize a guise is a costume. it's essentially a shorter version of the word disguise. learn to grammar.

It's a double pendulum. The end of the second stick (the blue line) is incredibly chaotic (it differs incredibly depending on it's initial conditions). Because of this fact, it's generally perceived as having random motion - although this is not true, as you can predict it's movements with perfect knowledge of its initial conditions.

This is not a big issue at all but that picture really bugs me.

Why does the busted sign have to be skewed? If it was perfectly horizontal we could see both of their faces. Instead, it's blocking 60% of the magnificence that is Jamie Hyneman

I feel like I'm one of a few people that just accept that I have problems and everyone else has their own problems, and simply move on and not give a **** .

But then again.. I don't have strange depression-based issues like half the internet seems to claim to have.

I find it interesting that if the person was to show what was really inside they'd be shunned, burned, and buried.

And this **** isn't deep, it's life, and in some sense we all wear masks.

I know that people are really pissed off that people have mental illness and saying they should man the **** up, but it's not that simple. It's an illness, it's like telling a cancer patient to "just man the **** up you're weak minded" that's a silly thing to do and isn't going to help anything. If they could just choose to be mentally healthy they would in an instant but they can not, it doesn't work like that there are many different aspects such as cognitive (thoughts), behavioural (conditioning), biological (hormones, drugs and genes), psycho dynamic (Freud's mad **** ). Study psychology and you'll understand.
User avatar #80 to #61 - seffie (06/30/2013) [-]
Yeah....... You're wearing a fedora. So, no. Nice try, but I don't take advice from people who wear a 1920's suit+raincoat accessorie in combination with a dull t-shirt and jeans. Thinking they are gentleman with class, and bitch about beeing friendzoned all the time. Finding comfort with their fellow omega faggots saying all woman want is douchebags and how they don't appreciate a gentleman with class.
#92 to #80 - jazzyietheferret (06/30/2013) [-]
Odd...believe it or not, not everyone cares what others think. I actually wear a golf cap sometimes. The big kick? Sometimes I'm not even playing golf when I do.
User avatar #103 to #92 - seffie (06/30/2013) [-]
Well that's good for you.
This does not change my opinion on a fedora hat without the proper clothes. And that he doesn't care what I say is super cool and all. But that doens't mean I can't bitch at him for his poor wardrobe choices.

And I do hope you are referring a flat cap as a golf cap. And not a golf cap with tweed pattern and an idiotic plush ball on top.
#123 to #103 - jazzyietheferret (06/30/2013) [-]
Yes, a flat cap.
#131 to #80 - thebritishguy (06/30/2013) [-]
dude, I wore it as a joke because on the religion board they keep saying how all atheists wear fedoras, I thought the "thinking fedora" gave away that I was joking.
But I fail to see how the fact that I wear a hat would mean that my argument is invalid, how old are you?

Why does everyone have to act so depressed all the time on the Internet while the actually depressed people are the ones who keep quiet? Just because your life is slightly melancholic doesn't mean you're 2deep4me with some conceited lie or half-baked story.

I give a salute to the people who actually suffer from depression, keep chugging along guys and you'll soon be pulled out the mud
#142 to #118 - anon (06/30/2013) [-]
it's the internet, everybody talks here silly.
#120 to #118 - anon (06/30/2013) [-]
Some people who have depression do speak out on it, though.
User avatar #122 to #120 - toguro (06/30/2013) [-]
Oh I'm not saying they're not, one of my friends was recently depressed (took me and a friend a whole year to pull him out of it but he's sittin sunny now) - but he only spoke about his depression to people who knew what it's like. Meanwhile on the Internet, everyone splurges information about some mundane mishap that happened to them and tries to be too deep.

Well that's what I found anyway.
User avatar #125 to #122 - iammeto (06/30/2013) [-]
agreed, people should appreciate what they have insteed of mourn what they dont
User avatar #132 to #125 - huffe ONLINE (06/30/2013) [-]
depression isn't about mourning the things you don't have. that's just called being a loser.
depression is always being in a bad mood, having no energy or will to do anything. it takes away almost all meaning from existance.
if you ever tell a depressed person that they should be happy with what they have, or actually, simply telling them something along the lines of that, they will verbally agree with you, but inside they will roll their eyes.
it's stupid, is what i'm saying. they aren't sad for a specific reason. they just are, and the causes are big, and most times, there are many of them
User avatar #126 to #125 - toguro (06/30/2013) [-]
#128 to #122 - anon (06/30/2013) [-]
Alright. I can agree with that.

Life might seem dark for a lot of people, but just because you see the shadow doesn't mean you're in it. No one should go down that hole.
