Why the **** doesn't it denature when I take a hot shower?
#21 to #17 - nightdude (06/29/2013) [-]
It might be because the shower's not hot enough. The proteins in the mosquito's saliva cause the itch, and they are destroyed at temperatures above 113 °F (45 °C)

Up here in Alaska, the mosquitos are so bad, you just generally don't go outside.

Once you notice a mosquito bite, don't scratch it. Apply some rubbing alcohol on that itch (with a cotton ball or whatever) and it should get rid of the "bitch" (bite/itch) in a more expedited fashion.

here in Britain we don't have to deal with mosquitoes only gnats which are much smaller but they get everywhere and are just ******* annoying
User avatar #107 - olegdobrynin (06/29/2013) [+] (4 replies)
Mosquitoes don't transmit any toxin, they just take blood. wtf man.

Another way to stop it is to take the pizoelectric sparker out of a a lighter. when pressed, it gives off a small electric charge. click that a few times on the bite and it numbs the pain.
