I believe he gives birth to the wolf too, and when the wolf is killed they tie Loki up with the guts of his own son. Norse Mythology is crazy.
#216 to #2 - anon (06/28/2013) [-]
Actually, before Loki got a thing for the crazy magic lady. He had two sons. Normal sons mind you. But eh, Loki went down with the crazy magic lady. After som Frost Giant on Crazy Magic God Woman action, the results were Fenrir, Sleipnir, Jormugand and Hel, the Half Frost Giant, Half God, who were bannished because she was the daughter of the crazy magic god woman. So she was cast into Niflhel.
As punishment for having several children with the magic crazy lady, his two sons were cursed. One of his sons was turned into a wolf, his other son was dismembered and after Loki himself was cast into Niflheim, his sons guts surrounded hit, then turned to iron, chaining Loki to the floor, until the time of Ragnarok.
#384 to #216 - anon (06/28/2013) [-]
Both of his sons was turned into a wolf, and one of them dismembered the other one, when he had the wolflike mind, and now the survivor roams Jörmungard.

If I remember correctly, he also gave birth to the 8-legged horse. Odin was like "Omg dude that's so ******* awesome" so Loki's 8-legged horse baby became Odin's steed.
#378 to #2 - anon (06/28/2013) [-]
You are kinda right, but like superhoody said, it's not fenrir. The wolfguts that loki is tied up with, is one of his other sons that was transformed into a wolf together with his brother, and it was the brother that killed the wolf that he is tied up with. And now the other brother roams jörmungard, because of what he did. So yes, Norse Mythologi is crazy, but cool.
#3 to #2 - superhoody (06/27/2013) [-]
Sorry, its a different wolf than Fenrir actually. But still one of his sons.

Yeah, according to Norse Mythology the world resides on a branch on a gigantic tree. Also, the ocean is made from a god that jacked off, filling large areas with his cum..

Yea, Fenrir was seen as a danger to the gods and was eventually tied up with a cloth made by the dwarves that was harder then the best steel the Asgardians could make.

Norse mythology sounds ******* awesome. I know there are a lot of split stories to read, just like with Greek mythology, but would there happen to be any single, coherent text that legit covers Ragnarok and events related to it? That'd be a novel I could seriously get into.

Would you recommend her? Also on what game mode?
User avatar #27 to #25 - itrinx (06/27/2013) [-]
Actually she's viable in every game mode. Very low cd on her ultimate. A good slow area, offensive wards (put eggs around the map and spiders will hatch to attack nearby ennemies) And your first spell: you just jump on the head of an enemy and suck the **** out of his life, while he can't attack. And her passive deals additional damages as poison for every hit, scaling on your physical power.
User avatar #165 to #27 - savvasp ONLINE (06/27/2013) [-]
"Viable in every game mode". I'd just like to correct you on this and say how she's 100% NOT viable in any mode that isn't conquest. And even there she falls of mid to late game.

The thing about Arachne is she's the best early game jungler in the game and has the highest early game damage in general. If you abuse that you get to counter jungle and set up good ganks. Her problem though lies in her scaling where she does petty damage late game and her only real ability (her silence) is really risky to use in teamfight situations.

Regardless, she's ton of fun to play and I'm hoping the addition of combat blink and dedicated jungler will make her semi-viable again.
User avatar #29 to #27 - ullapool (06/27/2013) [-]
Well, I might give her a shot. A good counter for her sucky sucky attack would be to either move to a tower, or into your teammates.
User avatar #30 to #29 - itrinx (06/27/2013) [-]

The Wolf was getting too big. So the Gods decided to put it in chains. But the wolf was aware that something was off and demanded that a God would put his arm in his mouth. Tyr was the only one who was brave enough to do so. They succesfully chained up the Fenrir but Tyr lost his arm.
