tobacco is natural as well, it's not that safe dough.

The chemicals put in manufactured tobacco is unsafe.

tobacco by itself isn't too bad, it's what else they load into cigarettes that is bad

why do they load it with so much poison anyway?

Burning anything oxidizes molecules, creating carcinogens. Studies have shown that even consistently eating burnt toast for breakfast (some people do, for some reason) is like letting cancer roundhouse kick you in the teeth every morning.
I may have paraphrased the results a little.

Tobacco is loaded into cigarettes...

So I wonder, here's an idea, lets not put harsh chemicals into cigarettes

It will never happen. Too much money being poured into the economy by nicotine-dependent consumers for them to take out the addictive chemicals, and too many lobbyists for Big Tobacco paying off the fellas in D.C.

There is. I don't know how natural these actually are, but a step foward I guess?

These guys are as good as it gets. No chemical additives, and you can definitely tell it in the taste. I find it hard to go back to Marbs or Camels after a pack of these.

Your wrong, but ok, tabacco itself brings tar into your system by smoking it. Its pretty unhealthy to smoke pure tobacco.

So what about smoking from a Pipe?
User avatar #89 to #32 - newforomador (06/27/2013) [-]
Depending on how you smoke it. Some people just take the smoke into their mouth, others will actually inhale it. Like whycanticaps said though, if you inhale it, inhaling smoke isn't exactly healthy.

just puffing tobacco wont damage your lungs, and you will get a slight buzz because of how close the blood vessels are to your gums.... but then again, it damages your gums and throat... so its really a trade-off
User avatar #33 to #32 - whycanticaps (06/27/2013) [-]
it's not too bad, but other than the fact you are inhaling smoke, it's not that bad when compared to smokes

But over the years of breeding tobacco, the plant also got a whole lot worse than it was when we first found it. Alot more potent.

That being said, cigarettes do add buttloads of bad stuff.

what kind of ******* retard are you? the tar and nicotine is all natural, which are the parts of the plant that gives you cancer

what kind of company would ADD **** THAT KILLS ITS CUSTOMERS?
"but anon, pesticide etc..." no shut the **** up they put pesticides on EVERYTHING

seriously, your stupidity is flabergasting
User avatar #31 to #18 - celestiasbeard (06/27/2013) [-]
Tobacco plants act like a pesticide themselves since it contains more nicotine than most other plants which is known for it's wide use as a pesticide. Also tobacco plants have many other natural things in them which can be widely use in the medical fields and they have been used as so ever since the civil war era. This is because chewing some of the stronger varieties could cause numbness, which when you have massive wounds could definitely help to a great extent let alone what we could use it for with modern sciences. Lastly, while you are right it is dangerous the process is only enhanced when people decide to pt stronger elements which cause addictions at faster rates and chemicals to hold off some of the bigger pests since when processed it loses most of it's pesticide like agents. All in all you are right and wrong but leaning more towards the latter of the two.

all the chemicals like pesticides that are involved in the production of tobacco make it more harmful than it needs to be
