if you run he would probably just shoot you
User avatar #13 to #7 - emptysuperman (06/27/2013) [-]
He can't. Since he's not in handcuffs, he probably didn't committee a serious crime. Police officers are only allowed to shoot fleeing suspects to prevent or if they are fleeing from a violent felony. Imagine how stupid it would be if I shoplifted, ran for the cops, and they shot me dead. Doesn't make much sense when you actually think about it.

Criminal Justice graduate. Hopefully will be a police officer in the near future.

Please, buddy. If you're an American...be a good cop. Those cops I see on TV...they're just... so pathetic.

Don't be like this;

"Step out of the car, sir. HANDS ON THE STEERING WHEEL! HANDS ON THE... *BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM*, Two-one. I need backup right now. Shots have been fired. SHOTS HAVE BEEN FIRED. The suspect did not keep his hands on the steering wheel! I NEED BACKUP RIGHT NOW! I just threw the dead suspect to the ground, I am cuffing him now. STOP RESISTING SIR! SIR, STOP RESISTING! TASER! TASER!

He is cuffed. Good job, guys. We got the bad guy."

Most cops aren't actually like that. It's just that the media only shows the bad cops.

All information provided for victimless crimes.

E.g Personal Drug possession
Spray-painting on disused walls

I'm sure the owner of that building didn't appreciate people spray painting it.

Well that jackass on 4chan said he had stolen and painted citystreets. Not exactly victimless crimes...

Yes, well I'm not him.

He was using personal examples to give a very thorough explanation on how, when and why to run from police.
#55 to #44 - jvcjvc (06/27/2013) [-]
Very helpfull, but avoiding acts of crime will not only spare a random stranger a bad day, but will also keep yourself out of trouble.

Drugs are illegal, and it is illegal to spray-paint your name on walls. By buying drugs you increase the demand, thereby increasing organised crime, as their marked has expanded. and yes, that sucks for everybody.

I'm not calling you out , don't think that about me, but it is just the attitude of that idiot on the board. he is a ******* brat.

Unless you buy from a self-sufficient grower.
It's up to the cannabis user to source his produce.

Yeah the guy is a cunt, but he knows what's what. I personally only have to worry about cannabis / mephedrone possession and pirating. Nothing you really need to run away from the police for...

"Drug" is a wide term. but if we are talking homegrown stuff i certainly agree with your point, although i am kind of neutral when it comes to legalisation.
User avatar #58 to #57 - lolfire (06/27/2013) [-]
Strangely enough so am I.
One of the few cannabis users that doesn't want it legalized.

I like my tax-free, genetically engineered cannabis where I know the source and I know what has went into growing it. You just wouldn't get that sort of information from a coffee shop. They'd be mass producing the easiest **** to grow instead of tinkering and toying, creating the perfect strain.

I agree with you. I also believe that if we legalize cannabis, lots of money would be drained from the organised criminals. Nearly all their income is from drug dealing and smugling.

Of course, if you're in the UK, you and your vehicle can be searched at any time under the Badger Act if the officer is sharp enough and know about it, and they only have to have suspicion you may have been attacking badgers, which can be claimed from having a muddy car or clothing (Know a cop who uses this when people get really smarmy)
User avatar #22 to #21 - lolfire (06/27/2013) [-]
Ahh yes those are for the Americans.

Sadly we in Northern Ireland have **** all defense against searches thanks to the Special Powers Act which allows them to search and detain if they think that a person may be related to paramilitary activity. Which over here is everyone.

It's basically our national day of rioting.

This sums it up pretty well. Belfast | I Predict A Riot

Every year, same day.
