Well I'm not English speaker and my question may look stupid for some of you but... can someone explain me why "I weren't" instead of "I wasn't" ? It's not the first time I see it and now I don't know which one I should use.

They actually used it wrong, it should be wasn't. In most cases was is used for singular nouns and were is used for plural nouns.

Plurality isn't the issue.
"If I were a baker..."
"If we were children..."

The real issue has to do with indicative (was) vs subjunctive (were).

Actually i'm pretty sure your supposed to say " I wish I wasn't" because it's present tense. I don't know why it's being used like that here.

Some Americans tend to use " I weren't", despite the fact that it's invalid, because they're idiots. In all cases, "I wasn't" is the correct form.

What is your native language? Because "weren't" is the subjunctive tense, but English speakers don't often use it and it's not as important as in languages like Spanish.

The English subjunctive is very similar to the French subjunctive (subjonctif), the only difference is that the verb "to be" is the only one that is changed in English anymore.

It's almost always "I was", except for when the sentence is a wish or a thought; such as in:
- I wish I were rich
- If I were tall
- If I were your boyfriend (Bieber! do you even grammar?)
