Ye mock the Point and Shooty? Ye of little faith behold!

When I played competitive tf2 this was our spy's revolver.

You played competitive?! Tell me your secrets of skill to TF2!
User avatar #52 to #51 - xXDeathTheKidXx (06/27/2013) [-]
Uh well I've been playing tf2 for far too long, one day I kinda just said "lets give competitive a go" and so I did. Now I have a shiny to brag

I wanna shiny... Despite Pyro being my favorite class, it is really my second or third worst class for skill.
User avatar #54 to #53 - xXDeathTheKidXx (06/27/2013) [-]
Well if you wanna have fun go with your favorite do it, if you want some tips I can provide some

-Learn to reflect and to do it by not just sight but by sound
I keep in contact with our pyro and he reflects rockets by sound when he is close, as in as soon as it fires he reflects.
-protect the combo from spies at all costs
The combo being whoever your medic is with
-listen to the team.
Self-explanatory.
User avatar #55 to #54 - exclamation (06/27/2013) [-]
I've never played with "combo" and what-have-you. I've only played the 1v1 puff and sting setup (of which I am awful at because I always expect to kill everyone I encounter with it), and Py-bro.
User avatar #59 to #55 - xXDeathTheKidXx (06/27/2013) [-]
* and the combo is just a fancy term for like a heavy/demo with a medic. Just easier to refer to them as a combo
User avatar #58 to #55 - xXDeathTheKidXx (06/27/2013) [-]
Yea those work for most occasions, but one thing for sure work with flares and reflects, a lot of people don't realize that a pyro can really lock down a soldier if he can reflect with ease.
User avatar #61 to #58 - exclamation (06/27/2013) [-]
Most Soldiers I almost lock down carry the ******* shotgun -.- I can reflect pretty well, but not consistently. Also, I get some hilarious lucky reflects in CQC with a Solly.
User avatar #62 to #61 - xXDeathTheKidXx (06/27/2013) [-]
Yea at that point if you don't carry the shotgun or can't hit moving targets with the flare you would leave that to your teammates. I personally always carry a shotty, never know when a pyro can think. WM1 is like the caps lock of tf2, the cruise control for cool.
User avatar #64 to #62 - exclamation (06/27/2013) [-]
I use Gunboats on Soldier because I don't like to lose a ton of health on a rocket jump.
