It is a this very moment in my life that I suddenly feel old.
#23 to #5 - willypmedina (06/26/2013) [-]
It came outin 2002, 11 years ago so if you brough it when you was 10 or 12 years it would be your childhood.

My childhood was the Atari 2600 and NES. I'm old, apparently.
#41 to #5 - Rascal (06/26/2013) [-]
Yet people refer to shows from that time as part of their childhood.

We're not all that old. Assuming childhood means 7-11 years old. For me anyway.

I used to bring DBZ Budokai to the YMCA during summer and everyone would play it until I had to go home. We quickly figured out that as long as you don't try to change characters or use a super move you could keep playing rematches without the disc. Once we had two different PS2s playing one Budokai disc. **** was magic

Actually found it on a DBZ thread here on FJ, but I'm pretty sure it is fan made. Her name is Lamp.

Complements that fact that the dick tray stops working after 5 years, and you have to pry it open occasionally.
User avatar #4 to #3 - IAmManbearpig (06/26/2013) [-]
that's cause it's a DISC tray not a DICK tray

I've heard of some weird fetishes, but this one takes the damn cake

Well you've got to admit it is a sexy console...

Game keeps freezing ?

No problem, just stick the game in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Man the Playstation was rugged as **** . I was playing Legend of Dragoon with out a memory card. Solution to this problem, never turned it off. Just paused and went to sleep.
#65 to #59 - chthulhu (06/26/2013) [-]
Same here. Took me years to find out I could switch between discs one and two without turning the power off, so I just replayed disc one over and over again.

RIP Lavitz, you asskicking badass.

Until you reach a loading screen
User avatar #53 to #47 - aussieftw (06/26/2013) [-]
It's funny how that works. You're all fine until the game itself has to question it's very existence, like. "I ... Think I was working, but now I'm just not sure if I'm even here to load myself."
#40 - menacebeach (06/26/2013) [-]
While playing Vigilante 8 on Ps1 you could take the disk out and put any music cd back and you could keep playing while listening to your favorite music. You could do the same on Nascar 99 for an entire race.

-YES, WE HAVE THR SAME MEM RE. WEDDING GAME ALSO/ WAY BACK/ DIAMONDS WAS / WATCHERS SAME TIMEX-- IMAGINE??? WE PLAYED SAME JOY STICK $$$$$$$ U GOT PAID- I WILL BE SOONER THAN LATER ยข$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If you opened it playing Crazy Taxi, it wouldn't load the streets but you could keep playing, effectively driving around in mid air.

That always blew my 13 year old mind.

I beg to differ and state that the N64 is better than the PS2
User avatar #54 to #51 - rieskimo (06/26/2013) [-]
I agree with both of you.

**** you I won't do what you tell me.
User avatar #73 to #51 - lordmoldywart (06/27/2013) [-]
I too loved the N64 (and the SNES), but being a later gen. console the PS2 had higher capacity for performance and also had the highest game library of all time
#43 - artyomthebadass ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]

I always loved doing that to my cousin. I ALWAYS took manual, he always took automatic. So awesome when my car doesn't even have a scratch, and he's smacking into every wall possible.

User avatar #16 - breakfastskippa ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
You could play parts of a game without the disc even in there, i borrowed my friends copy of midnight club 3 and when he came over and took it back i kept playing for a bit after he left with the disc.
#45 - donaldducksdick (06/26/2013) [-]
Please say that someone else played this

Summoner was great! bit slow paced though
User avatar #58 to #57 - donaldducksdick (06/26/2013) [-]
It deffo wasn't slow paced, but the encounter system and going backwards and forwards milked it a bit
#18 - Rascal (06/26/2013) [-]
the best was when you rented a game and could keep playing after you returned it

If the disc in the Wii is extracted it would show you that there is no disc and if you put it back the game start playing were you left it
