He knew what he was doing. Avoiding media confrontation and capture isn't an easily avoidable thing ESP when you're dealing with this caliber of trouble. He probably isn't even in moscow right now, he's somewhere far. Away from media, and already has a new name. Wired accounts, a non existent address and house. And wears sunglasses EVERYWHERE. Either way dude is a totally patriot/ Passive Badass.

And You sir are ****** . Let thyne red thumb reign like a kerry king solo. ******** , go kill yourself. Or stop trolling like a dickweavle. And he didn't squeal about hack attempts the NSA is ******* LISTENING to every phonecall you make. Every site you visit every app your phone downloads. GPS locations and more. They are the next gen gestapo and it's too ******* late. He at least had the balls to tell us what we're dealing with. Either way we are ****** unless a miracle by military personel persists on our side, a revolution is WELL on it's way, and fast. And yes, there will be blood our video games tell you about it, mainstream media, movies, music, it's all in between the lines. It's there but you've got to WANT to see the truth it's not a conspiracy theory when it's blatantly in action. And unless Conspiracy theorists are just a new fad, people are waking the **** up and FAST as hell.

How is that unamerican? Our Government is OUT OF CONTROL! We are spying on passive nations! Who mean us no direct harm! But we leave peace talks with NK?! WTF?! Iran is on it's own leg, and We are supporting syrian rebels instead of helping build a stable democracy?! And you have the ******* gall to say it's un american?! We are stabbing the ONLY enemies who would consider fighting along side us in the ******* back! Russia is one hell of a military ally, and China has loaned us billions upon billions of dollars. WHO WANTS IT BACK, when we cannot pay it how the **** do you think the debt will be settled?! Start thinking history books kid, slavery? Hard labor? We are ******* cattle. Our government will either sell land, resources, food, or people. Hence why they want us to have ID chips. To bid us to a high buyer. It's there i'm not talking out of my ass. **** is getting ***** nuts and people like you will call the crazies (ppl like me) Prophets for trying to see past your ignorance and showing you the truth. He should make a deal with the flight company to order about 10 more last minute tickets and then let journalists buy one each time for about 20 times the original price. He would make a lot of money for the company and they could offer him a free, private flight to wherever he wanted.

While I understand that you appreciate someone telling the public that the government was listening in on everyone, I don't think we really needed him to tell us. This has been thought for longer than I have been alive. I have heard "Big Brother is watching" ever since I was little. Yes, I know this is from Orwell's 1984, but that is my point. This whistle blower told the American public information that was already known, then hid in a country that is not exactly our friend. He has information that could easily endanger the country. While the government did things that were wrong, they will continue to happen regardless of a whistle blower. He isn't a hero, he is an idiot who could easily **** over America.

I never made any not of freedom, pride, or liberty. I think you completely misread my point. I am saying this country isn't free and it never was... I think somebody is just waiting to jump down someone's throat. I am not defending USA. I am just saying Snowden wasn't really smart in saying something everyone already knew. I know they spy on everyone. Every major nation spies on everyone. That is what I am trying to get across to you. Every country preaches about how great they are when in all reality they are pretty much the same. Granted some are a little more open about it than other, but every country spies on their people. Every country is not free.

Here's my opinion. Did he do good letting us know the government was spying on us? Yes and no. The programs were sanctioned by congress which is supposed to represent the people. Our fault for electing scumbags to congress. Did we really have a vote on whether our representatives were going to be in favor of these programs? No, fault lies with them.

I'm in favor of trying Snowden as a criminal because he also started telling China that we were spying on them. Apart from the no **** aspect, telling our enemies the nature of how we spy on them is treason and hurtful to our country. For that he should be tried as criminal.

Edward Snowden is a man who leaked government info to the public about the NSA's authority and willingness to search people's phone records and emails and other various private information. Snowden is a man who took government info about them spying on us and released it to the public. he is a patriot.
#90 to #10 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
unfortunately the government charged him with espionage against the us
User avatar #195 to #90 - TehGordonFreeman (06/26/2013) [-]
And, possibly because of that, Russia will not hand him over to the US.
#87 to #10 - mooghens (06/26/2013) [-]
And then accused of spying to top it all off
#240 to #10 - goldengohan (06/26/2013) [-]
Snowden revealed that america was spying on non-americans. America's spying has stopped 50 TERRORIST ATTACKS in the last 10 years.

then sold it to the chinese #traitor
#201 to #172 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
Not... really. He revealed to an American and English journalist what the government was doing (collecting a **** ton of American internet information). It hit the news and the internet. He wanted his country to know that the government was breaking the fourth amendment and spying on all of us, and the only way to do that was to make it public through the media. He couldn't ONLY tell every American and keep the Chinese from seeing it.
User avatar #22 to #10 - ningyoaijin (06/26/2013) [-]
And who is "us" exactly?
User avatar #66 to #22 - blastblood (06/26/2013) [-]
He means 'US' United States i suppose not us like in the tatu song 'Not gonna get us'

he revealed they look at what you do on facebook google and youtube, those are all free, why do you care if the government checks your facebook anyway, its just stupid **** , he also ******* revealed classified information and squealed to china about hacking attempts etc, hes a deuchebag traitor, should be charged as one
User avatar #166 to #126 - rieskimo (06/26/2013) [-]
Spotted the NSA agent.

But seriously, **** you. The reason why I'm concerned if the government is snooping on my facebook pages isn't because I want to keep my weekend outfit pictures a secret outside of my friend's group, it's because here in America we were guaranteed this little thing called the FOURTH ******* AMENDMENT YOU DAFT ******* TWAT!

The people of a country should never be afraid of its government, it should always be that the government is afraid of its people. They are in service to us, we pay the ******* bills and they better follow the ******* rules that we've all agreed to.

In case you're unclear of what the fourth amendment represents, it is the nifty little amendment that prevents cops from just breaking into your home or car or check your internet history. Any representative of the government or policing body needs to have reasonable cause and a search warrant to do so. If you think Snowden is a "deuchebag traitor" then you are a sad excuse for a citizen.
#168 to #166 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
Well ******* spoken sir.
User avatar #178 to #166 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
theyre not checking your internet history, hes a traitor, period.
if youre afraid of your government maybe you should learn something about it or basic society, and again, they check pages that are free, theres probably in the terms of use of the pages that they can check your ****
User avatar #187 to #178 - rieskimo (06/26/2013) [-]
I don't care if it's free or for money. It is MY information, it is MY life, and it is MY privacy. Just because you don't value YOUR privacy doesn't mean that you don't have a RIGHT to it.
If the government isn't playing fairly they deserve to have something like this happen.

You're ******* deluded.
I'm not paranoid that the government will find out what I do, I'm not that interesting. I'm more than ******* pissed that the government has overstepped lines and snooped in any way, and especially without "just cause".

If the government starts breaking its own rules it ceases to be a valid government. Why should they be allowed to detain those who break the law if they can't keep from breaking the law that they have been charged with upholding.

I just hope you never ******* vote.
User avatar #188 to #187 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
its YOUR information you GAVE their page, dumbass
User avatar #189 to #188 - rieskimo (06/26/2013) [-]

User avatar #191 to #189 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
YOU put YOUR information on THEIR page, you probably agreed to them getting it when you agreed to the terms of use
#198 to #191 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
I didn't know the government owned Facebook, and every email ever...
User avatar #199 to #198 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
>implying they couldnt get the owners consent
also hotmail and such services are also free owned by someone else then you, you think its private but youre just borrowing space
#222 to #199 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
Different anon, in case you wanted to know. Anyhow, I don't think that it's a bad thing that he let out "government information" because if they are getting our "personal information" then it is undoubtably through the same or at least similar means of someone underhandedly giving others access to it (in one case it may be a government agency being given access, in the other it's the public being given access to some things we wouldn't have otherwise). Because of how contracts/terms of agreement are worded these days, it's not unreasonable for the government being able to "put fears to rest" in a deceitful manner, because it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY for the contract to clearly state "government officials are archiving this **** you're posting".
An example I want to make: if you post something hateful about someone, and said person is murdered/thieved from/etc some time in the future, you could be pulled into the suspect list and have your life interrupted with pointless interrogation.
User avatar #225 to #222 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
yeah, but in my country you can get **** for being an asshole on the internet anyway, what im trying to say is, the government isnt really doing anything wrong here, except maybe keeping it a secret, if you dont like this sort of thing dont hang on facebook, dont make a youtube account, dont use chrome etc
#167 to #126 - anon (06/26/2013) [-]
And you should be charged with being a ****** AND a homosexsual, and for not being in prison where you belong.

Also, traitor loses it's strong meaning when you put a word like ''deuchebag'' in front of it, kiddo.

Might as well go ahead and just call him a poopy head, you ******* sissy.
User avatar #177 to #167 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
ok anon, ill do that, hes a poopy head

them looking isnt impairing your freedom

what rights dont they have?
User avatar #251 to #250 - hellspawner (06/26/2013) [-]
I'll give you a real answer instead of answering my question with another question. They don't.
User avatar #252 to #251 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
you dont really have anything to defend that with, they can look at your facebook all they want, its not illegal, they can check what you watch on youtube, its not like you have any priveleges there, theyre all free pages
User avatar #254 to #252 - hellspawner (06/26/2013) [-]
Oh. I didn't know the government owned Facebook. Their developers allow full "private" pages for a reason. The government has no reason to see what I did last weekend. Again, how can this country truly be free, if the government is keeping its all seeing eye on us?
User avatar #255 to #254 - admiralen ONLINE (06/26/2013) [-]
as long as they dont hinder you, you are free to do what you want within the law, you may also operate without the law, but that has consequences
User avatar #256 to #255 - hellspawner (06/26/2013) [-]
If I'm not doing anything outside the law, and I'm not, along with millions of others, why do they have to monitor what I do?
User avatar #264 to #256 - admiralen ONLINE (06/27/2013) [-]
cause some people do things outside the law, and some people pay to know what people like so they can create products that people like etc
User avatar #265 to #264 - hellspawner (06/27/2013) [-]
And so the government needs to know about the citizen's personal lives so a third party (being a company), can make a product I'm not going to buy?
User avatar #266 to #265 - admiralen ONLINE (06/27/2013) [-]
people buying things helps everyone since the economy relies on it, basically it even helps you that they check out what you like
User avatar #267 to #266 - hellspawner (06/27/2013) [-]
But what does the government have to do with that? They aren't spying on us to find out what we like to buy. The economy is so ****** right now nobody can really even buy anything. We just gave 300 million to Syrian rebels. That could've went to our education system to improve the quality of our education.
User avatar #268 to #267 - admiralen ONLINE (06/27/2013) [-]
im not gonna pretend to know why the hell they give away guns and such to rebels, but ofcourse people can ******* buy stuff dude
User avatar #269 to #268 - hellspawner (06/27/2013) [-]
Look what happened when we first supported the ******* Taliban- they became self aware and started attacking us. I couldn't possibly see how this could go wrong. Instead of the government getting involved in 3rd world country affairs, we need to focus on improving our quality of life instead. There are other countries out there who can do the same thing for Syria too.
User avatar #270 to #269 - admiralen ONLINE (06/27/2013) [-]
>implying rebels improve anything
people who take the rule by force tend to stick by it by force, a good rebellion hasnt gone down even once, and before you start saying french or american, things were **** in those countries and they were forced to unite to fight other foes

The US government is only spying on the U.S.A, not the entire world, that's illegal, since the don't have the rights to do that.
