Also, Kinect, better controller, and better and more original exclusives.

1) $100 for basically the same specs (yes, the PS4 has slightly better specs but in reality the difference in output between the two systems will be negligible) and the Kinect bundled with it, as well as basically being a digibox which usually costs about $100 in itself. You may pay more, but you are certainly getting more for your money.

2) Had Sony announced that they would also introduce DRM Microsoft wouldn't have had to change their policies. As Steam has shown on PC, the future of gaming is in digital rather than hard copies, and both companies will choose to adopt DRM at some stage in the future. Personally I think this is a step back for the gaming industry, but the general public wanted hard copies and Microsoft finally delivered. It was certainly not their plan to do a U-turn on their own policy, just changed it due to public opinion.

Had Sony announced the same policies, the gaming community would have told them to go **** themselves as well. Steam represents the minority of gamers. It makes sense for PC gamers to use digital copies and have DRM because if you spend $1,000+ on a gaming PC, you clearly have a good internet connection, otherwise you're just stupid. Changing an entire industry based on the minority is ******* retarded, plain and simple.

I guess I'm one of those crazy people who want to play games every day on a device that costs $500, even if my Wi-Fi goes down(which happens all the time for a lot of people, you dumb faggot). How many successful corporations do you know that make massive decisions about their products for a small group of people? See majority means the larger group of people, you would know that if you passed grade 3 math. More people thought the Xbox One was the biggest piece of **** they've ever seen, much like yourself, THAT'S why they changed it. If only we could do the same to cock smokers like you. Maybe someday. Here's an idea, stand up straight, pull up your pants, and stop being a little ass bitch for every shiny new toy that rears it ugly ******* head. What Microsoft was doing was a disgrace to the gamers who bought the first Xbox and stuck by them from the beginning, making Xbox as successful as it was. I now realize the helmet you wear isn't because you're the biggest retard the planet has ever known, but because you're a completely ******* brain dead vegetable, prone to muscle spasms which make you type the most incoherent ramblings the internet has ever seen.

Yup because it needs to be connected all time, not just once every 24 hours. YOu are completely right.

And Microsoft made this decision for a small group of people because they convinced people that generally would have liked the Xbox to ******* boycott it because 'hurr it restricts my freedom like steam'.

If you'd take that cock out of your eyes you'd see that people who weren't under developed ass hats such as yourself, loved the idea of the Xbox One. They made a product that was the future, not some **** that the idiot consumer that hiveminds like a ******* mindless *******, before they see the ******* forests for the trees. No, they don't want ******* innovation they want to dwell in their cum-stained basements arguming with their brain-dead friends about 'muh specs'.

'Durrr but the PS4 was outselling it on Fagazon'. Because loud assholes decided to ******* make a non-issue a problem and sacrifice the future. That's why Microsoft took it away. Not because they cared what you faggots think is infringing on your worthless non-existent rights, but because somehow you managed to convince yourselves and others that a one time phone home was a big enough issue that it deserved to be trapped.

Don't even bother considering any other option, I think you might blow a fuse and start swearing in your seat.

Cum munchers like you should realy only talk to a mirror because I doubt anyone who wasn't missing half their ******* frontal lobe would ever stand their.

No, keep your ****** Generation 7 model, you asshats. See if selling your ******* games for $7 to Gamestop makes you happy.

PS4 is estimated to be 50% more powerful. They have the same architecture, meaning the playstation won't be a piece of **** to code for anymore, also meaning the extra power will make a difference this gen.

It's still inexcusable to charge more for a less powerful device.

Eh, the PS4 is not really that much powerful, despite what Playstation would have you think. Yeah, the PS4 has better RAM, but the differences are small, even the highest end games like Killzone shadow only need about 3GB. It has much more memory than the system can practically take advantage of. As far as the PS4 putting out 1.8 TFlops compared to 1.23? Don't hold your breath. Lets not forgot the PS3 was rated at 1.8 TFlops as well, and that was never even close to a real world number.

And lets not forget the ps3s **** architecture that made it hell to code for. I.E. Very few devs used its extra power. Naughty dog for example did. Uncharted and the last of us outshine any 360 game by a longshot.

But this gen the architecture is similar to a PC, removing that problem.

As much as I agree that digital downloads are the norm and standard for pc gaming, console gaming does have a different niche.
I don't know anyone (in my circles) that has 4 mouses and keyboards and plays split screen on their pc's with their friends. As similar as the markets are, when it comes to this specific area they differ. Everyone (in my circles, again) has memories of going over to their friends house. One person had Perfect Dark and the other had GoldenEye and we could play both. I know I was afraid of losing that sort of low-tech sharing.

That was the whole point of the now scrapped "sharing" feature. You and 10 of your friends could enjoy your Xbox One game collection from anywhere using anyone's account without the need for any discs. Even without it you could just sign in on another console and bam, your entire game collection is available to you instantly. Tbh it's a shame they scrapped the idea.

Let's be honest, the Xbox One when it had those policies was the future of gaming. There will be a time when online play is the only way to get your games. Digital libraries are the future because they provide so many benefits to both the customer and the providers.
I have to commend Xbox for its efforts in trying to stay ahead of the console war. But this was too early for everyone to accept. They are going to have to introduce these concepts in a much different manner than how they pitched it.

After the **** pulled with microsoft and DRM, there's no way any company will get away with having commercials in their games and sony never really spent much time on it being an "entertainment console." Sure the features are there, but they aren't focusing on it. They spent like 15 minuites on it between both E3 and the PS4 reveal. Sony was all about the games.

I got tired of this ****. The PC is **** unless you have money. You don't have enough money, your PC is ****. You gotta upgrade it. Games evolve, so as the PC, and that costs a ton of money. Money unless you have it, you can go **** yourself with the PC. The people that either aren't from the USA or can't afford to throw money to the screen while they scream "I want that PC" buy consoles. They aren't as expensive, they last for years, and they awesome. They might not do everything, but they let you run those games you can't in your crappy PC. So stop this ****, because the PC is for the rich, either in country or personally.

Xbox One: $500 w/ 250gb HDD + Kinect
PS4: $400 w/ 250gb HDD
Let's keep in mind 250Gb will barely hold a yearsworth of games, assuming you are an avid gamer. More packages will be out which will range from a $50-100 bonus in the price.

Built my PC a year ago with a one TB HDD cost $600.
Still plays all my games, including Skyrim with tons of mods on Ultra high at 50-60fps.(Don't have Crysis 3 yet and no, probably not. Not on Ultra.)
PC offers a larger variety of exclusives, and other things like emulators.

PCs do require upgrading parts but it shouldn't be forgotten that a console will come out with a new version almost every 2-3 years and if you decide to keep the first one it will overheat and probably explode later down the road.

And also while it is true that PC requires upgrading every 2-3 years I enjoy it more to be able to know my PC and customize it fully to my liking.

Not true. You can upgrade existing computers, but if you drop that kind of change on it to begin with, it will hold up for at least 8 years, at which point you can upgrade a PART of it, like a graphic card or add more RAM, for a quarter of the cost of the next gen of consoles.

My PC is a Dual Core Core2Duo 2.4 GHz with a GeForce 210 1GB and 4GB RAM. From the day I bought it, until today, I could've bought 2 Xbox 360 (at least in my country) with the money I invested on it. I know you can pay per part to upgrade it, but at large you'll use more money in the PC than in buying the console, money that you could've used in games or something else.

You won't need to spend any on the next console to keep up. Your PC will do fine vs Xbox1 and PS4

It doesn't run Black Ops 1. I doubt the fact of that it'll work with Watch Dogs.

Mine doesn't run black ops 1 either. I wonder why... wouldn't run on a friend of mine's computer either, and his was 2 years old.

I paid 800€ for my comp years ago and I need to upgrade it once in 4 years, with about 200€, I play all the newest games with full graphics and ****

in short: I pay a lot less in total for my stuff than you.

not to forget that I dont need a crappy laptop or TV due to having a good comp.

I'm talking about the less rich countries. Most of the european countries have a lot of money and don't really need too much money to buy a good PC. Now, in South America for example, buying a good PC costs an eye, and only the rich people are able to buy one.

Well...the PC gaming community does not get along just that well when it comes to hardware.
